Project Guidelines: 1. Project Grading will be as follows: Project Report 50 To be graded by the instructor Industrial Visit 20 Project Viva 20 To be graded by the judges in project display exhibition Display 10 Maximum Marks 100 2. Groups will work as per the following work plan and submit weekly assignment to the instructor: Week 1 Make a group and select the project 19 th Feb 2010 Week 2 Search on the history and background of the industry in Pakistan Make a list of companies running these industries (name, address and contact numbers). 26 th Feb 2010 Week 3 Find the raw materials used in the industry and Study the processes in the industry and flow diagrams. Write article paper on the selection of raw materials and processes in the industry 7 th March 2010 Week 4 Visit the industry 13 th - 14 th March 2010 Week 5 Make report on the industrial visit and article paper on the machines and equipment used for the processes. 21 th March 2010 Make Flow Diagrams of the industrial processes Week 6 Write article paper on environmental issues of that industry Write article paper on health and safety. 28 th March 2010 Week 7 Prepare the project display and presentation Submit project report 5 nd April 2010 Week 8 Project Display Exhibition 12 th April 2010 3. Groups will arrange industrial visit on their own. Instructor will help them. 4. The submissions will be due on every Monday morning 0900 hours. Marks will be deducted for late submissions. Project Display rules will be given by week six. 7. Projects will be graded by a panel of judges in the Project Display Exhibition on 12 th April 2010.
