Diverse applications Gurit products are specified into the produc-
tion of passenger and cargo floor and lining, galleys, lavatories and air ducts
within many of the latest generation of commercial aircraft including the Airbus
A380, A350 and Boeing 787. With a total understanding of phenolic, epoxy,
cyanate ester and thermoplastic material technology combined with unrivalled
experience with E-glass, S2-glass and carbon prepregs, Gurit products offer fast
curing, ease of handling and excellent surface properties.
All products are fully compliant with FAR requirements and international fire
protection regulations regarding flammability, smoke density, toxicity (FST) and
heat release as demanded for aircraft interior materials. In addition to thermoset
prepregs, Gurit offers a wide range of high quality unidirectional thermoplastic
prepregs suitable for tape placement, tape winding or compression molding.
Gurits custom-made carbon fibre profiles, which, when used in aerospace appli-
cations, deliver uncompromising performance and reinforcement needed for
load-bearing structures.
Honeycomb flooring panels can be stiffened and adapted to support fixtures and
fittings by inclusion of inserts created from Gurit specialist laminates. With exper-
tise in many other fields of composite manufacture, Gurit offers a diverse range
of material solutions including liquid resins for infusion and RTM, structural film
and paste adhesives, and a range of highest quality unidirectional thermoplastic
