The device description and display intensity settings are retained after the terminal is upgraded or downgraded using the FUP. 293014 When you add a font in Font Linking, the PanelView Plus 6 shows an hourglass and does not respond to touch-screen or keyboard input. Adding a Font Linking does not cause any abnormal behaviors. 293431 When the recipes are not part of the HMI project, the terminal may report the recipe file is not accessible or corrupt after a few operations are executed. Executing a recipe file has no issues, even when the recipe file is not part of the HMI project. 295212 Trend object does not show all time stamps on PanelView Plus. Trend object does show all the four time stamps on Panel View Plus. 291443/27282 7 Displays may hang for a few seconds the first time the terminal connects to any controller running Logix v18 or later firmware. This problem is resolved. 272805 A malicious client could cause RNA-Messaging to crash by sending bad data to a socket that RNA- Messaging is listening on. This could result in a heap corruption or the process to crash. This problem is resolved. 295627 Users could not shutdown the applications occasionally. This problem is resolved. 296541 Once an application runs that contains language switching and the language option at startup is selected as Start in Last Runtime Language, switching the language causes the terminal to hang. This problem is resolved.
Known Anomalies
The following anomalies are identified in the PanelView Plus 6 Firmware Upgrade Package 6.10- 20120418 release. ID Anomaly Description 289734 If you use at least two pens with the display option to isolate the graphs, the colors of the pens will no longer match the legend and will appear offset. Adding and using a Next Pen button aligns the legend with the pen. Workaround: Adding and using a Next Pen button aligns the legend with the pen.
4 EOI00037403 Date of backup file is not updated after the file is overwritten. If display properties (screen saver, appearance, etc.) are changed, and the backup file is then created (overwriting existing file), the file date that is displayed in Windows Explorer is not updated but is still the date the file was overwritten. EOI00037616 Default background image is always selected after user restores a backup file that uses a different image. An image other than the default is selected for the desktop background and a backup operation is performed. A Terminal Reset is then performed and the backup file is restored. When the terminal runs, the desktop background image displayed is the default instead of the image selected before the backup was performed.
When to Perform an Update
If any of the listed anomalies appear similar or identical to symptoms experienced on your terminals software or hardware, we highly recommend that you perform an update to the listed firmware release to resolve any potential issues.

Corrected Anomalies
The following anomalies are identified and corrected in the PanelView Plus 6 Firmware Upgrade Package 6.10-20110811 release.
CQ ID Anomaly Resolution 271625 If the Alarm History buffer is full and new alarms occur, the ME application is slow in responding and the CPU usage is almost 100%. The problem is resolved. 292622 The Clear Alarm History button clears all alarms regardless of any configured label. The Clear Alarm History button only clears the alarms configured with the corresponding label. The problem has been resolved. 292016 When the option to Queue new alarms is checked, the Alarm banner closes after acknowledging the first alarm, even if more alarms are queued. The Alarm banner stays open until all queued alarms have been acknowledged. 292623 When two alarm messages are set to display with one trigger, when the trigger is off, one message may not disappear. The problem is resolved. 270818 Clicking a Print Alarm Status button multiple times prints several records on the same page, even if there is only one active alarm. Only one record is printed when there is only one active alarm. 292403 If text objects use position type animations (like width, height, vertical/horizontal position, or vertical/horizontal slider), they do not display with correct sizes when the display first opens. Text objects display with correct sizes when the display first opens. The problem is resolved. 292440 When users use the DataStore Plus ActiveX and assign a Handshake connection, there can be a timing issue that prevents the creation of log files. The log files are created successfully. 292352 Using handshaking with a DataStore ActiveX Control when a trigger tag value is non-zero results in multiple lines of data logged instead of just one line. Using handshaking with a DataStore ActiveX Control when a trigger tag value is non-zero results in one line of logged data.
7 292609 Modifying the Create new File setting to Periodically or At Specified Times for a DataStore ActiveX control results in a delay of the initial file creation. Modifying the Create new File setting does not result in a delay of the initial file creation. 292431 If a Numeric Input Enable connection contains an optional expression connection, using the keypad during test display causes FactoryTalk View Studio to hang. Using the keypad during test display will not cause FactoryTalk View Studio to hang now, if a Numeric Input Enable connection contains an optional expression connection. This is a desktop issue requiring a terminal code fix. 270629 If you close an on-top display by both using a global connection and manually, and if they happen at the same time, ME runtime exits unexpectedly. The problem is resolved. 270793 Pressing the Enter key twice to shut down a closed shell terminal causes the terminal to hang instead of relaunching. The ME Station is shut down and then re- launched after the Enter key is clicked twice. 291291 If the alarm message includes an embedded variable, the message will not display correctly. The message displays correctly now with or without an embedded variable. 292619 USB printing from the Print Alarm History button prints some records with the wrong format, and these records have the last character of the year cut off. USB printing from the Print Alarm History button prints all records correctly. 292649 Datalog cannot record ControlLogix DINT tags to a ControlLogix Processor with v18 firmware. Datalog successfully records ControlLogix DINT tags to a ControlLogix Processor with v18 firmware. 271424 ASCII characters are byte swapped when read or written as an INT data type with the SC modifier. ASCII characters are read and written correctly as an INT data type with the SC modifier. 292620 When you close the Alarm display and re-open it or if the Alarm display was not open when the alarm came in, all the alarms disappear even if the alarm triggers are still active, if you use filtering and AllTriggers. The alarms do not disappear if the alarm triggers are still active, if you use filtering and AllTriggers. 271314 ControlLogix 5572 processors and ControlLogix 5574 processors do not communicate well with PVP 6 terminals. ControlLogix 5572 processors and ControlLogix 5574 processors communicate well with PVP 6 terminals. 269401 When writing several strings which exceed the maximum packet size to a controller, the writing fails but RSLinx Enterprise does not properly log an error message in FactoryTalk Diagnostics. RSLinx Enterprise correctly logs an error message in FactoryTalk Diagnostics when the writing fails. 271514 When RSLinx Enterprise reads a ControlLogix string the LEN (Length) identifier is being ignored and the whole string is returned. Only the number of characters identified by the LEN (length) identifier is returned. 271116 If a UDT contains a sub UDT string defined as a SINT[x], reading the UDT from FactoryTalk Data Client may cause RSLinx Enterprise crash when x is 3 or greater. No crash happens when reading the UDT from FactoryTalk Data Client.
