BISE Lahore, the activity of the said training workshop has been decided to be
conducted in emergency before commencement of ensuing examinations (HSSC
Annual Examination 2014 stating form----------). The subject wise & date wise breakup
of participants likely to attend said workshop is given below:

In this connection, catering is necessary to provide lunch & tea along with
biscuits (twice) to the participants during sessions of 4 days training workshop wef 25-
26 & 29-30 April 2014. About 750 participants ((Head/Sub Examiners of HSSC Level
along with support staff of BISE Lhr) are expected to attend said training. The estimated
expenditure likely to be incurred on serving of food & refreshment to the participants
during conduct of said 4 days workshop has been calculated & came out to be
approximately Rs 2 lac (Annex-A).
In this regard kind approval under Rule 59(c)(v) may kindly be granted for
procurement through alternative method. However, three quotations will be called for
directly from market with a view to achieve the competitive and reasonable price so far.
In view of foregoing, it is therefore proposed that necessary permission may
kindly be granted for obtaining three quotations directly from market through petty purchase
committee of BISE, Lahore in order to arrange refreshment (Lunch & Tea twice) for the 750
participants (Head/Sub Examiners of HSSC Level along with support staff of BISE Lhr)
scheduled to be held on above-mentioned dates during training sessions at 49-A
Examination Centre BISE Lahore.

the 750 participants (Head/Sub Examiners of HSSC Level along with support staff of
BISE Lhr) of 4 days Training Workshop scheduled to be held on 25-04-2014, 26-04-
2014, 29-04-2014 & 30-04-2014. The direct quotations through petty purchase
committee were obtained on 24-04-2014. As per comparative statement prepared on
the basis of three quotations (mentioned in above table) rates quoted by M/S Z Haroon
Traders Lahore at serial No.3/3 herein above were found lowest. The Committee feeling
the rates reasonable recommended that requisite service may be obtained from the
lowest bidder M/S Z Haroon Traders Lahore.

Workshop scheduled to be held on 25-04-2014, 26-04-2014, 29-04-2014 & 30-04-2014,
the direct quotations through petty purchase committee were obtained on 24-04-2014.
As per comparative statement prepared on the basis of these quotations rates quoted
by M/S Z Haroon Traders Lahore at serial No.2/3 herein above were found lowest. The
Committee feeling the rates reasonable recommended that requisite service may be
obtained from the lowest bidder M/S Z Haroon Traders Lahore.
It is not out of place to mention here that tea along with biscuits will be served
twice to the participants of training @ Rs 60/- per participant during workshop while
lunch will be provided once during day @ Rs 200/- per person on 4 days training
sessions. These rates are exclusive of Sales Tax. However Income Tax @ 4% shall be
deducted at source from the bill of vender whereas Sales Tax on services @ 16% shall
be deposited by the Board.
In view of above, the proceedings of Petty Purchase Committee may kindly be
approved by allowing the issuance of supply order of one dish lunch @ Rs 200/- per
person and tea with biscuits @ Rs 60/- twice a day (excluding Sales Tax @ 16%) to the
750 participants of 4 days training workshop scheduled to be held on 25-04-2014, 26-
04-2014, 29-04-2014 & 30-04-2014 to M/S Z Haroon Traders Lahore. Store Section of
this office may kindly be directed to issue the supply order accordingly.
