Galva Coat for Galvanizing & Lighting Poles, Abu Dhabi
Handling and managing all of design dept. matters throughout the following scope of work:
Design of overhead transmission lines up to 400kV, by determining the line basic parameters , selection of
the routes , sag & tension calculations, tower spotting , stringing charts , tower outline diagram and
clearances calculations complying with international codes ( NESC ,CSA ,..), and achieving a high standard
of optimization.
Designing and computer detailing of transmission lattice towers & transmission monopoles (several
families of towers from 138 to 400 kV lines).
Tele-communications monopoles/towers, high masts using up to date design software's and complying
with British, European and American standard.
Conduct particular studies concerning fatigue, dynamics and analyze reliability of the structure by
obtaining the safety index () using FOSM, AFSOM and Monte Carlo simulations.
Prepare technical presentation for the new projects / products.
Prepare and create new non-standard submittals/ designs complying with customer requirements and
according to international standards and any applicable Regulations.
Review / Verify and approve design calculations / drawings & submittals prepared by design Engineer.
Oversee drafters generating detail shop drawings in more than a hundred projects.
Develop sample specification, preliminary proposal, schematic layouts and budgetary estimate for new
customers.
Prepare detailed specification for the purchase of the required material & equipments.

Provide technical support to domestic sales group to achieve their sales target which reaches more than
140% in 2013.
Promote steel distribution pole to replace wooden poles by conducting several research and presentation.
Establish and implement product standardized coding for more than 1500 products.
Prepare municipal / company pre-qualification for their approval as and when required.
Follow up new designs in the factory and ensure their validation.
Interact with Q.C. / factory / other departments in an effort to resolve problem.
Resolve site queries, attending site meetings and performing site inspections during the construction
phase of projects.
Coordinate with Q.C. department and resolve issues including attending tests of materials and products.
