Respected Chief Guest Shri.Chhaganrao Bhujabalji, Honble Minister PWD, GOM, our
guests of honor Dr.U.K.Mukhopadhyay , MD & CEO, THDC & a member of the Board
of Management of the autonomous Department of Economics, University of Mumbai,
and Dr.P.C.Sehgal, MD, MRVC- my senior colleague in Transport field
Prof.A.L.Agarwal and Dr.Romar Correa, Director, Autonomous Department of
Economics, my Prof, friend, Philosopher and Guide Prof. T.V.S. Ram Mohan Rao, in the
audience, distinguished experts from India and abroad and colleagues from the
University, our friends, well wishers and students in the audience, it is indeed my very
pleasant duty to propose a vote of thanks on this occasion. What started of as some
preliminary activity in January last year, developed into the process of diverse activity
culminating in what is seen as fruits that are visible today. It has been a struggle but a
wonderful experience for us- the ICOTSS team.

We are really very grateful to our respected Chief Guest Shri.Chhaganrao Bhujabalji, for
gracing this occasion and inaugurating the Conference with some very useful
propositions from which the discussions can begin. Thank you sir for your presence and
insights. We do hope to interact with you and your officials with a view to promoting
greater involvement in the wonderful work that all of you are engaged in today in the
context of the Road Sector in Maharashtra. We are happy to note that the PWD, GOM
has nominated three seniors officers to take part in the deliberation of the Conference.
We have also received the nominations from Railways, financial institutions.The
interaction with these officials who indeed be very useful to us.

To Dr.UKM special thanks.Thanks to you sir for releasing the proceedings of the
conference. Despite a very hectic schedule as CEO & MD of a company belonging to one
of Indias most respectful industrial group, you have often found time to guide and assist
us. You have indeed been a great source of inspiration.

Jerome and Sajitha individually. They have stood by me through thick and thin giving me
all the emotional support that is required for the organisation of such an event.

Finally, thanks to the distinguished members of the audience for their gracious presence
at the inaugural function.
