Do these:
Download flashtool(I did from 4shared).
Turn on Usb Debugging
Turn on Unknown Sources
Install flashtool in C: drive.
Extract doomlord's zergrush tool in C:.
Download both the kernels and first paste first one, which is 4.1.a.0.562 in firmware folder of
flashtool.
Switch off phone.
Start flashtool, select flash icon, select flashmode.
When window gets open,double click on the kernel name.
When prompt window open,connect your phone pressing volume down key.
Make sure that your adb drivers are installed, then flashing will happen.
Disconnect phone when completed and restart it.
After 15 second(even Sony logo won't be shown, only backlight), connect phone to system.
Wait for the adb drivers to be installed.
Go to where you extracted your doomlord's tool and double click runme.bat file.
Wait for around five minutes until it says DONE.
Disconnect phone and remove battery.
Replace the kernel in flashtool firmware folder with 4.1.b.0.587.
Open flashtool and click flash icon.
DoubleClick kernel file then connect phone in flashmode.
Disconnect phone when flashing completed.
Disconnect phone and restart it.
Your Ray is rooted now. Then install clockworkmod by using CWM installer.exe from the same
system. Enjoy romz...

How to Root Xperia Ray ST18i ICS 4.0.4
(4.1.B.0.587)



This post contains how to root Xperia Ray ST18i ICS 4.0.4 (4.1.B.587) with the use of DooMLoRD
Toolkit.

First, read well and then follow instruction as it is.


Pre Requirements
Latest Flash-Tool Software - Download Link Here


Instructions
Flash the Kernel of 4.1.A.0.562
Download the Kernel - Click Here
Download the Flash-Tool and Install (If you have not install flash-Tool drivers first
you have to install it - \FlashTool\drivers\FlashTool-drivers.exe )
Then, put ST18i_4.1.A.0.562_kernel.ftf (Downloaded in 1) into the
\FlashTool\Firmwares


Then open FlashTool.exe, Click on the Flash Button and select Flash Mode.
Select Ray and Press OK.
Then follow the instruction give by the software to connect the phone to the PC.
Then you have to connect the device to PC (Make sure that device is switched off
[remove battery may be]. First Plug the cable to the device and then plug USB to the PC while press and
hold volume down key) (If the device connected correctly, a green led will show up)
After finishing flashing kernel, disconnect the cable and restart the Device. (You might get some
errors after rebooting, it is normal, and it will be fixed after next step.

Re flash the kernel (4.1.B.0.587)
Download the Kernel Click Here
Now flash the kernel by Follow 3 to 6 in the 1st step.
Now your device is rooted.

Rooting Toolkit for Xperia Ray ST18i ICS (FW:.562)


Warning
For Windows Only
Close all the adb server is running in background (e.g.- PCC, SEUS, Flashtool and disable
antivirus.
Root your device at your own risk.
First Read Well then follow instruction as it is.






This will:
Root your device
Install Busybox (v1.18.4)
Install SU (ICS)
Perform some checks tmp directory for some free space
Pre Requirements
An Xperia Ray with stock firmware 4.1.A.0.562
ADB drivers installed for your device (if you dont have drivers for your device download this
Flashtool Drives)
Download this Root Toolkit Root Toolkit
Check for USB DEBUGGING Enable from (Settings\Developer Options\Development)
Check for UNKNOWN SOURCES Enable from (Settings\Security)
Change Screen time out for 10 min. [optional]
Connect USB Cable to Phone and then connect to Computer





Instructions
Step 01 - Again check that you are on stock firmware 4.1.A.0.562
Step 02 Download above Root Tool kit, save it on C:\ and Extract all the files
Step 03 Now double click and run the runme.bat
Step 04 Now you dont have to do anything, sit well and read the on-screen instructions
Step 05 Your Phone will reboot several time
Step 06 When the Rooting finish it will say ALL DONE

1. Xperia Flashtool.

Install Flashtool Which Youve Just Downloaded In Your Computer (For You Convenience, It is
Recommended To Install Flash Tool in C: Drive).
Extract Xperia Ray ICS 4.0.4Firmware Update Package in Your PC, Youll Get .ftf File.
Navigate C: > flashtool > firmwares Directory.Delete All The Data in That Directory If It is

1. Exclude system
2. Exclude baseband
3. Exclude Fota

Press Ok. Wait For Flashtool To Prepare.Now It will Ask You To Connect Your Mobile, Follow The
Steps Carefully & Connect Your Phone.(While Connecting The Device To The Computer, Turn Off
Your Xperia Ray. Press & Hold The Volume down button. Now Connect It To The PC).
As Soon As Connect Your Device To PC, Flashing Process Should Now Start.Once You See The
Flashing Finished Message In Flashtool. Remove/Detach The Device From PC & Wait For It To
Reboot.
After Device Gets Rebooted, Again Connect It To The PC.Before Connecting To The PC Ensure

Step 2 : Root Xperia Ray
