Mathematics 1 covers all the topics and competencies prescribed by the Department of Education. It deals with the study of whole numbers, the four fundamental
operations, fractions, Roman numerals including money.
Pre-requisite: None
Course objectives:
At the end of the academic year, the students are expected to
demonstrate understanding of basic concepts and skills on whole numbers up to one hundred including money;
perform addition and subtraction of 1 to 3-digit numbers;
recognize the basic concepts of multiplication and division, Philippine money, and fractions
apply the concepts learned to solve problems.
