Martyrs of the Week:
From -5-2014 till -6-2014 31 6

During this period, the Violation Documentation Center in Syria managed to document
(470) martyrs, as (445) were documented by names, (25) were unidentified, (6) were
documented by photos, (0) were documented by videos and (19) were documented only
by witnessing.




Martyrs distributed on all the days of the week. The average number was (67 martyrs a
day) and the highest number was recorded on Tuesday 3-6-2014 when (141) martyrs
fell.

* The percentage of the martyrs who died as a result of fire shots and sniper bullets is
( 94.<%), while that of those who died because of artillery shelling, mortar, rocket
launchers is ( 74.<%), whereas the percentage of those who were martyred as a result of
military air raids is (7;.:%).

* The number of male adult martyrs is (8== martyrs), i.e. ( =7.: %), the number of male
children is (84 children), i.e. (;.: %), the number of adult females is (8; martyrs), i.e.
(<.; %), the number of female children is (4: martyrs) i.e. (8.4%), the number of non-
civilian male adults is (4>4) i.e. (94.; %) and the number of non-civilian children (4)
i.e. (4.7%), .

Aleppo governorate witnessed the fall of the largest number of martyrs, as the total
number was (497 martyrs) i.e. (30.7 %), followed by Damascus Suburbs (487 martyrs)
i.e. (7= %), then Deir Ezzor (45 martyrs) i.e. (9.5 %).
