A car mechanic uses a rechargeable torch, which contains five identical light bulbs. The bulbs
are connected to a 12-volt battery, as shown in the diagram below.

ii. Explain why bulbs connected in this way will be bright.





b) The current through each bulb is 0.30 A. Calculate the total resistance of the circuit.




c) The voltage across each bulb is 12 V and the current through each is 0.30 A. Calculate
the total power output of the torch.
