Job Summary:
Technical Computing and Model-Based Design products in the aerospace industry.
Industry marketing manager <- (project / sales management vendors etc )
Develop/ drive increased adoption of MATLAB and Simulink in aerospace industry in the
Americas and.(Globally)
You will collaborate with the sales team in the Americas,
CrossFunctional / Matrixed:
marketing,
engineering,
other teams (at MathWorks) Global

Develop:
industry strategy,
marketing message, / marketing plan,
supporting content,

Managed external vendors for software application development for use in UTCs product
portfolio.
Contribute to the long-term technology roadmap (lifecycle management).

Champion the impact of industry trends (competitive market analysis?)
on MathWorks product development plans.
Responsibilities
Provide direction and guidance to American sales and services personnel for the aerospace and
defense industry in the Americas
Through customer visits, understand the customers need and develop messaging for how
MathWorks products address aerospace industry challenges
Work directly with sales teams in support of key sales opportunities and with key
customers to drive product adoption
Strategize with account managers to increase account penetration and build best practices
for effectively increasing sales worldwide
Developed new training something something
Develop marketing programs and supporting materials, and use the web to effectively
drive promotion in the Americas

Produce articles, technical papers, and user stories in support of aerospace and defense
industry Create SOPs for use in manufacturing best practices

Deliver presentations at conferences and industry events and serve as the aerospace and
defense spokesperson for the Americas Presented at multiple trade shows as well as
developed and ran both customer and employee training programs throughout the
country.
Develop business strategy for aerospace and defense industry in the Americas
Develop and execute the aerospace and defense industry strategy and business plan and
review progress on it with an internal board of advisors Cross Functional Teams

Work closely with engineering staff to capture key aerospace and defense customer needs
and in development of new features and products to support these needs Both
technical background and MBA business, marketing and sales

Analyze aerospace and defense business performance, identify new market opportunities,
and develop plans to increase penetration and growth Lead team in developing a
customer facing application to assist with product programing.

Identify and work with critical partners to provide a complete solution for customer needs
Minimum / Preferred Qualifications
M.S. or higher degree in relevant engineering discipline
Experience with MathWorks products (MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow) or other multi-
domain simulation software
Experience using modeling tools in the development of systems compliant to industry
standards such as DO-178, DO-254, ARP 4754, or MISRA.
Strong knowledge of and experience (7+ years) in the aerospace and defense industry
with respect to mechatronics and embedded systems development
Experience and motivation supporting sales and engaging with customers in a multi-
national environment
Additional experiences important to the position:
MBA or product marketing experience
Prior employment with a leading corporation in the aerospace and defense industry
Experience with a global software company
Experience in forecasting and economic analysis

Product Marketing Manager - Model-Based
Design V&V
We are seeking a product champion to grow the market for our verification and validation
(V&V) products for Model-Based Design.
Built on top of our successful Simulink platform, these tools help bring verification and
validation concepts to development processes based on Simulink models for modeling,
simulation, and automatic code generation.

You will be responsible for technical product marketing of products for applying verification and
validation technologies to Model-Based Design and embedded systems development.
You will be providing direction and guidance to a worldwide field sales force and working
closely with a team of engineering developers to help define product direction.
Responsibilities
Work directly with key customers and thought leaders to identify and define new product
requirements Lead team in developing a customer facing application to assist with
product programing.

Work closely with the engineering staff on the development of new products and features
cross functional / matrixed

Work closely with sales teams in support of sales opportunities and major programs for
your product area <- customer facing, support and sales interactions

Identify new market opportunities for existing products and proactively develop
programs to pursue these life cycle management, competitive analysis and early stage
discovery.

Plan and manage focused competitive analysis for your product area and develop
positioning and response life cycle management, competitive analysis and early stage
discovery.

Produce technical papers, demos, articles, and user stories in support of the product area
Create SOPs for use in manufacturing best practices / Developed world wide
trainings for both employees and customers.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience, or master's degree and 5
years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree is required.
Experience with Simulink
Preferred Qualifications
The successful candidate should have an understanding of software design, testing and
dynamic system simulation
Expertise with MATLAB, Simulink or equivalent software
Experience using Simulink for embedded software development and verification
Excellent customer interaction skills
Industry experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or related industries
Familiarity with white and black box testing
Solid quantitative ability and strong overall marketing, research, and planning skills
