Sunil Agarwal FRICS Adjunct Professor, School of Real Estate, RICS SBE Managing Director, Black Olive Ventures Mr. Sunil Agarwal is an Adjunct Professor for the School of Real Estate at the RICS School of Built Environment. He is also the Managing Director of Black Olive Ventures Pty Ltd.
Previously, he served as Chief Development and Acquisitions Officer at SARE, a $400 million real estate development and fund management firm. In April 2006, he co-founded the firm, which focuses on the value-for-money segment in the residential real estate space.
He is also the mentor to the Real Estate and Entrepreneurship Club at ISB Hyderabad. Sunil holds a degree in civil engineering, urban planning and business administration. His diverse experience includes advising multinationals on regional facilities and workplace solutions, financial feasibility on infrastructure projects, PE placements in property, valuations and direct property investments across Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Faculty During this tenure, he acquired an intimate knowledge and understanding of real estate credit risk management procedures. Deutche Bank appointed him as a Vice President with the Credit Risk Management group, a position he held till joining Indiareit in March 2012.
During his 4.5 year tenure with Deutche Bank, Gulzar closely monitored debt, mezzanine and equity transactions for assets worth over US$ 6 Bn across India. Gulzar is a qualified architect from the School of Planning and Architecture Delhi. He honed his real estate skills at CB Richard Ellis whilst gaining valuable experience and proficiency in business development, project co- ordination & client management for various investment advisory mandates as an Associate Director & Regional Head of the Strategic Consulting Group. Gulzar is currently a partner in a start-up venture christened Indian Property Advisors Pvt Ltd (IPAL), a private equity (PE) fund, which is planning to raise an INR 300 crore domestic fund and a USD 250-300 million offshore fund. As a part this venture, Gulzar is responsible for overseeing the investment strategy and monitoring from a risk and compliance perspective.
Gulzar Malhotra MRICS Partner Indian Property Advisors Faculty Prior to joining Shapoorji Pallonji Group, he worked for almost 7 years at Wells Fargo and was responsible for origination of opportunities, investing and maintaining client relationships on pan India basis and played key role in the investing ~US $500 million in various real estate asset classes and also executed multiple successful exits. Puneet Bhatia MRICS Director and Head Investments Shapoorji Pallonji Investment Advisors Puneet Bhatia is Director and Head Investments at Shapoorji Pallonji Investment Advisors, a platform providing unique value adding model as opposed to a pure capital allocator model.
He has over two decades of diversified experience in Indian Real Estate; and has been involved in Consulting and Agency at IPCs and Banks and has successfully done multiple investments in Private Equity and Mezzanine Finance. Prior to Wells Fargo, he worked for over 6 years in various managerial capacities including Head Commercial Agency and Head Land Advisory at ICICI Bank. He has also worked with J ones Lang LaSalle and Colliers International wherein he lead teams to handle real estate requirements of multiple Indian and MNC clients. He is also an eminent Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and is also its member as global list of Trained Assessors.
Faculty Mr. Chakrabarti has over 17 years of experience in the financial services and real estate industries. He joined Red Fort in 2008 and has expertise in acquisitions, legal, asset management and operations (including all CFO functions).
Prior to Red Fort, Mr. Chakrabarti spent 10 years with GE Capital in India, Europe and the US.
Kalyan Chakrabarti Principal - Red Fort Capital Advisors He was the head of Pricing for GE Capital's Commercial Finance business in India from 2007-2008.
From 2005-2007 he was head of Global Financial Planning and Analysis of Genpact. Between 2002-2005 he was based in London as the Assistant Controller for GE Capital's equipment financing business.
He is the recipient of Genpact's Leadership Excellence Award (2006) as well as GE's Global Controllership Excellence award (2003). He is six sigma certified (green belt) in process excellence.
His education consists of a Master of Business Administration, XLRI, J amshedpur; Bachelor of Engineering, University College of Engineering, Burla; and LLB (Bachelors in Law), Delhi University (Pending 2013)
