DAY 1: ARRIVE KATHMANDU Our driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Later you will meet your guide for your pre-trek briefing.
DAY 2: FLY TO POKHARA - NAYA PUL- TREK TO JHINNUNDANDA Elevation: 830m 2050m
You will take a morning flight to Pokhara, with its magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchre, five peaks of Annapurna and many others. You will then drive for one hour to NayaPul where you start your trek. You follow the south bank of the river, passing through sub- tropical valley forests and crossing the Modi Kola on a high suspension to the village of Tikhedhunga. You continue to ascend on this trail until you reach the village of Jhinnundanda where you will spend the night.
DAY 3: TREK TO DOVAN Elevation: 2560m
The day starts with a gentle gradual ascent through thick bamboo, oak and rhododendron forests up the side of the gorge. You cross two streams over small bridges. Keep a look-out though as you may be lucky and spot wild pig, deer or even a snow leopard on this section of the trail.
DAY 4: TREK TO MACHHAPUCHHRE BASE CAMP Elevation: 3700m
Today you start your trek to Machhapuchre Base Camp (MBC), this is quite a strenuous hike but well worth the effort as the spectacular view of Machhapuchre unfolds before you.
DAY 5: TREK TO ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP, DESCEND TO BAMBOO CAMP Elevation: 4130m - 2310m
On the way to Annapurna Base Camp from Machhapuchre Base Camp, the vegetation disappears and you will be trekking amongst glacial morraine. Your first view will be of Annapurna's near vertical south face towering above you. Annapurna Base Camp boasts one of the most awe inspiring 360 degree views in the Himalaya. You will literally be surrounded by the peaks such as Machhapuchre, Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Hiuchuli.
You then descend from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo retracing your steps through Machhapuchre Base Camp, Deurali, Dovan on the way, finally reaching Bamboo. Heading back down to the valley is much easier than climbing up. You will see the waterfalls that drop down from a high point to the rocks below.
DAY 6: TREK TO CHOMRONG Elevation: 2170m
You will trek down through the village of Chuile and then descend to Lower Chomrong, before climbing the thousand stony steps taking you to Upper Chomrong.
DAY 7: TREK TO GHOREPANI Elevation 2750m
The name Ghorepani in Nepali means "horse- water" owing to its role as an important campsite for traders before it became a trekker's stop. Ghorepani is an interesting place with small shops and stalls for selling local products and craft. The town has two parts: one in a saddle and the other a few hundred feet lower.
DAY 8: ASCENT OF POON HILL, TREK TO POKHARA Elevation: 3200m
You will set off in the dark this morning to ascend Poon Hill a famous icon of the Annapurna region. The trail climbing to Poon Hill's viewpoint is steep, but it is well rewarded again with `

SUMMARY
An amazing trek into the very heart of the Himalaya. The Annapurna Sanctuary is a natural amphitheatre from which you can view some of the Himalayan giants over 7000m - Machhapuchre, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and the Annapurnas.
You start your trek with a short drive from Pokhara to NayaPul from where you will start your trek. From here you trek for several days following the gorge carved by the river, crossing and recrossing on suspension bridges before reaching Machhapuchre Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp for a 360 degree view of the Annapurna range.
You then retrace your steps along the valley back to Ghorepani, ready to make your ascent of Poon Hill for your final view of the breathtaking Annapurna range. You will then trek back out of the Annapurna Sanctuary to Pokhara to take a short flight back to Kathmandu.
