Feedback 3
We will upgrade to CS8.1 and are eager for the delta documentation as we have seen
System Impact Report of other company about the impact of the upgrade to the network.
Our Skill Center must be responsible for the functioning of HUAWEI device and ensures
that services are not affected after the upgrade. However, we have no idea about what
scenarios are important for the upgrade.
The details of upgrade procedure and the difference between versions are not clear
enough in the documentation.
Feedback 4
HUAWEI engineers recommend that all cases must be tested after the upgrade. However,
the workload is heavy. We want key cases that can prove a good performance of the
device.

What are the issues that
CS patches resolve?
In what process does
Huawei release patches?
Develop patches.
Patches are developed accumulatively. Accumulative
development means that a patch fixes not only the latest issues
but also those fixed in earlier patches. For example,
SPH002 fixes both the latest issues and those fixed in SPH001.
SPH003 fixes both the latest issues and those fixed in SPH002.
...
SPH00x fixes both the latest issues and those fixed in the
previous patch.
Install patches.
Installing the latest SPH00x patch fixes all issues recorded till date.
Plan patches.
Patches are planned based on the criticality
of the issues, the scope of impact, and
Huaweis discussion with customers.

As the number of mobile subscribers increases, more diversified services are required, network
reliability needs to be enhanced, and network construction costs soar, Huawei provides a series of
solutions, such as the All IP and MSC Pool solutions to protect carriers' investment, enhance
network security, improve subscribers' satisfaction, and reduce carriers' maintenance costs.
The All IP solution adopts the IP bearer network
to transmit voice services on mobile
communications network, which reduces
transmission costs.
ALL IP
MSC Pool is a resource pool made up of mobile
switching center (MSC) servers. The pooled MSC
servers are in load sharing mode and can share
resources. This enhances the usage of core
network resources, reduces network investment,
and avoids network congestion. In addition, the
MSC-level disaster tolerance mechanism is
introduced to the MSC Pool.
