EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. SCB-Pres-02-051214
AN ORDER APPOINTING HONEYLENE ABAS AS DIRECTOR OF EXTERNAL
AFFAIRS AND NETWORKING


WHEREAS, the elected SAMAHAN President has the power to appoint members of
his/her office to discharge specific functions, in accordance with Article 7, Section 1 of
the 1982 Constitution of the SAMAHAN ng mga mag-aaral ng Ateneo de Davao
University.

WHEREAS, the elected SAMAHAN President is in need of people who can assist
him/her in delivering his/her duties as SAMAHAN President, specifically in contacting
and negotiating with, but not limited to, offices and organizations outside of the campus;

WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Honeylene Abas, a bona fide student of the
Ateneo de Davao University taking up Bachelor of Arts Major in English, shall be
appointed the Director of External Affairs or DEAN of the SAMAHAN President.

WHEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the following are the powers,
functions, duties and responsibilities of the Director of External Affairs:
To provide sustainable linkages and partnership between SAMAHAN and other
institutions outside Ateneo de Davao University
To ensure that the SAMAHAN Central Board may be able to synergize more
effectively through partnerships with certain organizations which operate for the
same functions with SCB
To conceptualize schemes in which the SCB may increase its relevance to
participate in greater advocacies for the city and the country at large

WHEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of External Affairs shall
serve upon appointment of the President of the member council until his/her
replacement is appointed by the President of the incoming year.

WHEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the DEAN is mandated to comply
with the provisions as stated in the 1982 SAMAHAN Constitution and its by-laws.

WHEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any provision of this Order is
declared unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity and effectivity of the
other provisions hereof.

WHEREFORE, BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that this Executive Order shall take effect
immediately.
