Lakes, mountains, museums, beaches are the defining factors of this
sovereign country.

Hanoi , the capital of this country located at the right banks of the Red
river has over 1000 years of official Chinese history prefixed to it. This city is
marked for its literary and religious values. Ho Chi Minh was probably the most
popular leader of Vietnam and known to his people as Uncle Ho. The Ho Chi
Minh Mausoleum started in 1973, the construction of the mausoleum was
modeled on Lenin's mausoleum in Russia and was first open to the public in
1975. The granite building meant a great deal for many locals as it ensures
that their beloved leader lives on forever.

Vietnam Tourism takes you to The Temple of Literature which is often cited as
one of Hanois most quaint tourist charms. Originally built as a university in
1070 dedicated to Confucius, scholars and sages, the building is extremely
well preserved and an admirable example of traditional-style Vietnamese
architecture.
The literary facets of Vietnam can be grazed by visiting the following museums,
whether its the Vietnams museum of Ethnology, Womens museum, or
Temple of Literature. The museum of Ethnology is stuffed with information
pertaining to traditional Vietnamese ways of life, from religious events to the
symbolic rituals of all the Vietnamese ethnic groups, providing a rich drapery of
the culture melting pot existing in Vietnam. The exhibition hall features
everyday objects representing each group, a research centre, library and
auditorium.

To peel of the weariness of travelling, Hoan kiem Lake is the place to dart at.
Peaceful and quiet, the lake surrounds Ngoc Son Temple, a pagoda sitting in
the centre on a small island. The temple was built in commemoration of the
13th century military leader Tran Hung Dao who was renowned for his bravery
in the battle against the Yuan Dynasty. Vietnam Tourism allows to bear witness
the beholder of the dynasty himself.

Natures aura can be witnessed in its original form in the city of Ninh Binh with
places like Trang An Grottes, Mua Caves, Van Long Nature Reserve, Cuc
Phuong National park, Bich dong Pagoda etcetra. Hoi An Town is an
exceptionally well-preserved example of Southeast trading port dating from the
15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences,
both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique
heritage site. Declared as World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Hoi An was once
the major Vietnamese trading centre for silk, porcelain, pepper, cinnamon and
medicinal plants.

Besides the cultural, religious, literary aspects when we talk about pure beauty
in raw form, Phu Quoc island is the place to be. The country's largest island

with 99 forested mountains dominating the northern part of the island while the
southern part is better known for its beaches.

Another such spot but with the advents of water amusements is the Nha
Trang. A long stretch of beautiful coastline; miles of white, sandy beaches with
mountains at each end, enclosed by startling backdrop of mountain ranges, as
well as various other scenic beaches close by (Doc Let Beach, Dai Lanh
Beach and Bai Tru Beach) and more than 19 islands (of which serene Bamboo
Island is the best-known). Scuba Diving and snorkeling are two most loved
activites there, courtesy of clear aqua waters, an abundant underwater life and
colourful coral reefs. Vietnam Tourism literally clasps your breath away.
