The Final Frontier of Social 8

Mission Objectives:
demonstrate an understanding of how worldviews are a part of current affairs

Overview:
Your mission, should you choose to accept it--you dont actually have a
choice--is to work with a team to complete an analysis of a current affair and
present it to classmates and Mr. Krause.

Your project will include the following components:
1. Each component will be converted into a QR code that can be scanned by
classmates and the teacher.
2. Using the tiki toki chrome application, you must create an interactive and
detailed timeline which includes: descriptions, analysis, and links.
3. You must find an appropriate and accurate video/podcast related to your
current affair which can be shared as a QR code.
4. You must find a map of the area that is affected by the main issue.
5. You must record a video or audio explaining how the worldviews of the
different groups are in conflict over the issue (2 minutes max.).
6. Each group member must write a detailed opinion paragraph which explains
which side you agree with most and include evidence for why you are right.

Mr. Krause will lead you step by step through this process. Groups can be 1-4 in size.
Complete the project in order as listed above. When finished, another group will use
your QR codes to go through your current affair. You will paste all of the QR codes
into a google doc and share with Mr. Krause.
