MegaMacho
Drums
Power Pack
For iZot opes BreakTweaker

Thank you for purchasing the PlugInGuru MegaMacho Drums Power Pack for
iZotopes BreakTweaker library! I appreciate your business and support very much.
THANK YOU FOR NOT TORRENTING THIS!

So this is how this library came to be: On Friday, January 24
th
, I purchased and
downloaded the just released that day BreakTweaker plug-in from a hotel in Los Angeles
while I was attending the winter NAMM show. I played with it and quickly realized that
it was both a really powerful plug-in and also that the plug-in was terribly under
developed in regards to Grooves and Presets. Many of the Grooves are set up on the
keyboard differently by each programmer and while there are thousands of samples in the
factory library, it ships with only 69 Sound Generator Presets! Thats like Korg releasing
a synthesizer with 15 presets in it. So Ive been working very hard for the last 2.5 months
to create the library you have in your hands and I think this turns BreakTweaker into a
totally different kind of MONSTER!

To make things even more interesting for this library, I decided to invite people on my
PlugInGuru Facebook page to make presets for this library and Id pay them for their
work if I used it. So along with myself I had 4 other rhythmic gurus working with me to
make patterns and the end result is a library of grooves that has LOTS of different
personalities! The entire project is even better than I ever dreamed it would be. So I hope
you enjoy this and use these grooves all over the place.

Ryeland Allison, Toby Pitman, Carl Helder and Seth Norman thank you guys for
working with me to make this library a LOT more diverse and FUN to work with than if
it would have been just me!

Ill include bio and details on each of these talented programmers at the end of this
document so please scroll to the end to read about them!!

The MegaMacho Drums Power Pack
library Contains:

124 New Groove Presets!
The Factory library came with 92 groove presets in 5 genres. This Power Pack comes
with 124 in over 11 genres. Every preset in the PowerPack is also laid out on the
keyboard in a set way so that using the grooves is far easier to figure out than the factory
presets.

910 New Sound Generator Presets!
The Factory library came with 69 Sound Generator Presets. This Power Pack comes with
910. When Im in song writing mode, the last thing I want to do is start editing sounds.
When I realized that BreakTweaker came with only 69 presets, that was what inspired me
to make a supporting library as quickly as possible! I saved every cool Sound Generator
preset from many of the factory grooves and almost every MegaMacho Drums groove
PLUS made a ton more to make using this plug-in a lot faster, easier and sound a heck of
a lot better than just playing single samples! Many presets use multiple layers and all of
the synth tools to make unique NEW sounds so that YOU can quickly dial in some
inspiring sounds to write with.

1,061 MegaMacho Drums samples (299MB)!
TONS of the cool drum samples found in my MegaMacho Drums for Kontakt 5 library
are included in this library! These are the fuel for many of the groove presets we made
and give this library a unique signature because of how freaking cool these drum samples
are please note the really cool and unique Shadow Kits from MegaMacho Drums
are not included. The only way to get those samples is buy owning the MegaMacho
Drums Kontakt 5 or WAV version of the library.

:: VIDEO TUTORIALS ::

I am not including a video tutorial with this library instead all videos will be
FREE and able to be found at my website (http://pluginguru.com/guru-videos/quik-e-
videos) or directly at YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/thepluginguru).

I will be posting today an installation video showing how to install this library and how to
use it. So if you are having any issues please watch that video before contacting me. Of
course you can contact me at anytime at support@pluginguru.com. This installation video
will also show me making groove #124 so watch and learn!

ALSO, Please post a quick Review comment at the bottom of my product page for this
library. If youre happy with it, people need to know that so they buy with confidence. If
youre not happy with it, I need to know this so I can make it better! Thank you in
advance for doing this.

Missing Samples Error Message

Did you know there are TWO (2) Factory Content files you have to download to have a
fully working version of BreakTweaker? Well, you do! If you dont you will get error
messages like this when you try to load many MMD BT Presets:

This is because 1.5 GIGABYTES of samples from iZotope are missing! We used this
sample content in the making of the Power Pack, so you need to download and install it
on your computer before the Power Pack will load without error messages.

Log into your account at iZotope, go to the BreakTweaker Content tab and the 2nd file
down the list is currently called:
iZotope_BreakTweaker_Content_Web_Image_1000_41.dmg for Macintosh
iZotope_BreakTweaker_Content_Web_Image_1000_41.exe for PC.
How to Use this Power Pack

GROOVE PATTERNS

When you launch BreakTweaker for the first time, it opens the Preset window by default.
Select MegaMacho Drums BT V1 and you are now looking at 124 groove presets to
play with. Grooves are organized by genres to help you get closer to the type of groove
you want to work with. 90% of the patterns come with 10 grooves in a universal
assignment layout. Here is this standard assignment layout:

This is one place where the factory voicing is very confusing and I wanted to avoid
similar issues so I set up a Template that all 5 programmers followed whenever
possible so that you can call these up and know how to use them without having to first
play all over the range to see what is there.

NOTES ABOUT THE GROOVE PRESETS NOTE:

1) Tempo is set to BreakTweakers internal Clock for EVERY Preset. They
wont automatically follow your DAW tempo until you click SYNC.

By Default the TEMPO NUMBERS are BLUE.
This means that each groove preset is
playing to its saved tempo. This way the
Chill sounds like Chill and the Techo
sounds like Techno.

However, be aware that these wont follow
the tempo of your song. Click the Sync
box, and now tempo is decided by your
DAW, not by BreakTweakers internal
clock.

2) Select Load Kit Only to only load the samples now you make your
own grooves from scratch but the sounds are set up for you. This doesnt
load any of our pattern data you can then make your own version of OH
HAI KITTY or any other of the 124 presets we created.

3) Different Play Modes Gate and Latch are wonderful for different
applications so learn how to use them. With Latch turned ON, you dont
have to hold your hand on a note on a keyboard so for jamming or
composing, this is ideal. Also turn off the Force Retrigger option so that
you can change to another pattern anytime without it starting back at beat 1
of the first measure.

Sound Generator Presets

Next to each of the 6 tracks is a folder icon you can click to load up a preset
sound generator preset. In the factory voicing, these were pretty useless
since there were only 69 of them and most called up a single sample with no
programming assigned. The MMD Power Pack is a different animal! Tons
of layers sounds that are TOTALLY NEW and fun to work with are waiting
for you to discover! 910 presets in all the Bass and Synth presets are even
named with the pitch so you can dial in the sounds that will work in your
existing music production.

TIP: Going to the Sound Generator Presets after first loading the basic
groove Preset you want to use allows you to customize the sounds to get
something different than what everybody else is using. Its pretty amazing
how quickly changing Kick/Snare/Hat alone will give you a TOTALLY
different groove!

1,061 drum samples from MegaMacho Drums

The heart of this power pack are the 1,061 samples from the MegaMacho
Drums sample library. These samples are to build many of the drums Sound
Generator presets which are then used to make the groove Patterns. I did not
make a Sound Generator preset for every sample so there are still many
samples here for you to discover in the Sound Generator Editor. Watch the
free Video Tutorials Ive created to see how to access these. Again, those are
located at my website www.PluginGuru.com or at my YouTube Channel
www.YouTube.com/thepluginguru.

Programmer Credits (at end of each Preset name):
RA = Ryeland Allison
TP = Toby Pitman
SN = Seth Norman
CH = Carl Helder
JL = John Lehmkuhl

NOTE 1: Patches with EX at the end of the name require the
Cinematic Textures and Vintage Machines Expansion Libraries from
iZotope installed.

NOTE 2: Presets with CPU at the end of the name means that
these are very CPU hungry and will potentially cause audio errors
with the current version of BreakTweaker. This is with version 1.01 of.
I am hoping BIG TIME that iZotope will release an update that makes
this more CPU efficient - but with version 1.01 of the plug-in, be
aware that I decided to include some presets that will cause audio
errors with this version of BreakTweaker. You should be able to
Freeze or Bounce Down these grooves in your DAW without the
audio glitching in case you want to use them. Im taking a risk by
including these but they are SO COOL and I have high hopes iZotope
will improve the CPU performance of this plug-in. It is unacceptably
high right now.

Final comments:

OK, well that wraps this up! I hope you find tons of inspiration inside of this groovy
Power Pack for BreakTweaker! It was truly a joy for me to be able to hire additional
people to contribute to this library. Since groove is such a personal thing, I wanted to get
more than just my take on groove. Having 4 other people share their passion for rhythm
has turned this into a much more valuable library for me and I hope for you.

Thank you again for your support! Its so easy to torrent these libraries. I have no way of
protecting them and so I thank each and every one of you that want to own your own
legit licenses to use these sounds and grooves in your musical production. Because of
your support, I will keep making more and more libraries for everybody to enjoy. So

THANK YOU!

Kind Regards,
John Skippy Lehmkuhl
