Q Why are there so many religions?

A Because man is confused and Satan likes it that way!

Q Why doesnt God just come down and let us see who He is?
A He did! That is who Jesus is! (Matthew 1:21-25)
Q How am I supposed to know that Jesus is really God?
A Here is how All the miracles He did proved it! He changed
water to wine, calmed the storms and walked on water. These showed
His control over nature and the elements. Jesus cast out evil spirits from
men and women, young and old, told Satan to go away and he did, and
had 10,000 angels always listening ready to do what ever He told them to
do. This shows His power over all spiritual beings (demons) and angels.
Jesus healed the deaf, dumb, blind, lame, sick, diseased and even the
dead was raised to live again. This showed His ability to heal all forms of
sickness and even His power to give life! Jesus made a promise that three
days after He died He would arise alive again. It happened and it is the
most recorded event in history! Jesus did die and arise again from the
grave. This proves His power over death, hell and the grave. It also
shows His GREAT Love for you and His ability to give life.
Q What if things change?
A They wont! God, Himself put a curse on
anyone who changes what He said (Rev. 22:18-19).
That means we do know who God is!
1. We know the True God is Jesus! (1John 5:20)
2. We know how to have a good relationship with Him! (1 John 1; 4:19)
3. We are without excuse because God left us a truthful and perfect
testimony of all that He did for us in the Bible (John 17:17) and a group
of Christians who love you and are commanded by God to share His love
story to you (Matt. 28:19,20) Palau Baptist Church!
Dont get tricked into believing a false god. Realize the true
God loves you and died to pay for your sins. Repent to God tell Him that
you know that you deserve your punishment but you are truly sorry.
Reject all other gods and religions as a possible different way to heaven,
then God will Forgive you and you can Receive His FREE gift of eternal
life. Jesus death and resurrection proved His great power and great love!

Two friends were talking one day
Why are there so many religions? It just makes everyone
confused.
I heard an elder say that he would turn himself into a god one
day (Mormons)! Wow! But then there are other
families who feel they must make their god out of
stone, wood or some expensive metals (Animism) and
many times they have lots of different kinds of gods
(Polytheism, Hinduism). You know I read about it
somewhere that some of the tribes even pray to spirits
and ghosts (Spiritism). That is right and they think that
everything has a spirit inside of it or that god is living inside of
everything (Pantheism). And there are a growing number of nature
worshipers and witches (Paganism, the Groves).
Have you ever heard about Buddha? Oh sure,
a man, Siddhartha Gautama Buddha, was born about 560
BC and did not like the poverty and unfair treatment he
was seeing in his area of northern India so he took a
journey to try and find out how to do things better. As a
result of his life of doing nothing just going about talking
to people he did a lot of nothing but walking, sitting,
talking and thinking. A lot of statues picture him is these
positions. He really didnt think that there was a god like
all of the Hindu people around him did. He got some ideas of how to live
different and he never really did much with his life but everyone called
him the idea man or enlightened one (Buddha) because all he had was
ideas.
A man I knew once told me that he didnt think there was a
God. He said that there was No God at all (Atheism) but when he got
real sick and was about to die he cried out to a god. I heard him. I think
that his god is his mind. He only does what his mind tells him. He always
wants to think and educate himself about something. But the problem is
not everyone teaches the truth. And so only trusting his education and his
mind gets him into trouble. So that is why I think his mind is his god.
And it is not a very good or smart god!

Yah, I know what you mean,
There are even some very strange people
who say that it is impossible to know if
there really is a God or not (Agnosticism). They just live a confused life
never knowing anything for sure. I guess they have never been to
anywhere because everyone I know believes in a God of some kind and
there is lots of evidence everywhere showing us that there really is a
God, especially in the Bible.
I think that there is only one God! And we all find a way to
worship him in our own way?
Do you know the Muslims? They are a very dedicated people.
They follow the teachings that are based on the life of Mohammad. He
lived in Mecca and Medina, Saudi Arabia about 570 632 AD. An angel
spoke to him as a young man inside a cave while he was resting from the
heat of the dessert. The sad part is that he believed the angel even though
there was no proof that he was telling the truth. Mohammad began to
share the things the angel told him with friend who wrote them down.
Today these writings (the Koran) and stories about his life and those of
his followers lives (the Hadith) are kept as examples of how to live.
Each clan during Mohammads day worshipped different gods
like the Hindus in India. Mecca was the biggest market in that area where
many came to trade and have special holidays for the many gods each
family worshipped. During these festival times everyone brought their
family gods (idols) to a big black rock in the center of town (kaabah)
where they could be worshipped by anyone who visited. Arguments
began and the families started fighting about whose god was the best and
strongest. Mohammad insisted that they should only have one god. Well,
Mohammad was chased out of Mecca but he returned after becoming a
great warrior. He led his clan to victory in a battle against all other clans
in that desert region. And since Mohammad won everyone had to pray to
his familys god. It was the moon god (the crescent moon). And it is
proudly put on top of all mosques
and on most Muslim country flags.
Not everyone knows the whole
story because usually the Imams
keep most of it to themselves. But
Mohammad made all of Saudi
Arabian clans unite under his god
(Allah).
Wow! Everyone worshipped only one god?
That is great!
Worshipping one God is great
only if it is the one and only True God!
But Mohammad listened to the angel and
the angel lied to him! Allah is not the same God as the
Christian God of the Bible. The Koran says that
Allah has No sons (Sura 17:111) only daughters.
Jesus is God in the flesh (Matthew 1:21-25). God
made man in His image and likeness. So we cannot
see mans spirit or soul just like God the Father and the Holy Spirit they
are invisible. But the body is easy to be seen and touched. Jesus is the
body of God (Col. 2:5,6,9). Another thing about Mohammad and his god,
if people refused to worship only Allah then Mohammad and his clan
would kill them. That is BAD! Yes and many joined them only because
of fear. Now do you really think that it is okay to worship God in our
own way and kill everyone else who disagrees?
Oh No! But how do we know who the Real God is?
God gives us PROOF of who He is! But the sad reality is that people
are more ready to listen to the wrong things instead of Gods Word.
What do you mean?
Mohammad was not the first one to get tricked into believing a
lie by an angel nor was he the last. Do you know the story of Adam and
Eve? Yes. Remember what happened to them when they listened to
an angel? Oh yea, the angel Lucifer (Satan disguised as a serpent)
tempted them to eat the forbidden fruit and they did and disobeyed God.

Then what happened next? Everything
got cursed, and they got kicked out of the garden
and died. And that is why we are all in the mess we
are in today! Very True!
Why doesnt God just come down and
show us that He is real and what to do?
He did! God came and talked to man many times: Gen. 3:8 in Eden.
1Kings 18 He proved who He was to all Israel with fire from heaven.
Matt. 1:18-25 Jesus birth is God with man = Em______________.
John 20:30-31, Jesus miracles proved who He was! (Acts 2:22-24)

The Bible is Gods Word and it is All True! (John 17:17)
