REQUEST REGARDING RECRUITMENT THROUGH GATE 2014 EE BRANCH

Sir.
We, Rankers in GATE2014 of branch EE would like to request you in sincere about the missing
patterns in admissions in to IITs and NITs and jobs in PSUs. Before getting in to the details i would
like to point out the things happening in iits ,nits and psus recruitment.
As we know many IITs will admit students based not only on gate but also on their own written
test/interview. Iits will call students in 1:3 ratio for written and interview and will conduct atleast
two or three rounds of admissions and these all procedures will end up in middle july and a student
who gets a rank below 400 will see himself in a IIT or top NIT , The probability for a student to miss a
seat in IIT or NIT is very less but not zero. This is the scenario happened till gate2012. But after
2012gate so many psus started recruiting through gate , in our view reasons can be like
1) Qualified students will emerge as engineers to serve nation
2) Enthusiastic student will pursue their masters based on merit & reservations.
3) Thirdly and importantly, Alot of labour and considerable amount of time can be saved and
especially the flaws in recruitment will be nullified fully.
Here the problemarising
sir , let me come up with an example of mr.srikanth , who is an AIR 67 EE in gate2013 selected for
IITBs M.tech programme & left the seat after joining in to NTPC. Like this there are 230+ jobs
through gate2013 and a student who got AIR less than 400 have fair chances to get a job and a seat
in iit & nit .
as the recruitment process begins late and will end in November or so, by the time most of students
will get a seat in IITS and NITS , so many of them inclined towards a job and by the time they receive
a call letter from psu, they might leave a seat in IIT or NIT in September or October and will go for
job. IITS and NITs will not conduct any spot counselling to fill those seats. Directly 40% of bright
students will loose an opportunity to study or work in their deemed universities or psus.
Hence. Sir . We request you to find a solution so that INDIA will not loose a student of IIT,NIT or so.
Not for the sake of transparency but for the sake of Students future. Now a days Im requesting most
of PSUs recruitment team and chairmen of IITs but still didnt get a reply from them. Based on
RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT 2005, Now I applied to IIT B.KH,K,D,R etc for the no of seats left vacant
& the time when students left and whether they were filled afterwards or not. They will take 20-30
days to reply and in that time all these things will happen , eventually start of loss begins.
I , Request you to have a look on this important and serious matter as early as possible,
