IT Assessor / Trainer (Ref: AT2898)


Salary: 17,000 - 27,000 per annum
Location: Manchester city centre
Permanent

Skills and Work Solutions are recruiting an IT Assessor / Trainer to deliver effective IT training programmes within the
IT Professional and IT Application Specialist frameworks to both young people and adults with an emphasis on
Apprenticeships.
Based in Manchester City Centre.

The duties of the job include:

Contributing to and monitoring the achievement and progress of learners
Identifying and assessing valid, sufficient and current evidence
Judging evidence against criteria and identifying gaps in achievement
Providing constructive feedback to learners and assessors
Meeting regularly as part of a small team to share information and resources
Maintaining a client-tracking system for the monitoring, analysis and reporting of learners achievement and progress.
Maintaining accurate learner records.
To collate appropriate evidence to enable the application of full framework and QCF qualification certification
To carry out Induction and initial assessment of learning and development needs of clients/learners.
To plan and deliver group and individual learning sessions/activities and other interventions, as required.
Managing learner/client progress reviews.

We would like to hear from you if you have/are:

Knowledge of at least two of the following : Systems Support and Networks / IT Applications/ Web Development /
Microsoft training courses
Knowledge of IT Professional and IT Applications Specialist frameworks
Recent assessing experience
Knowledge of work based learning funding and delivery models
Knowledge of SFA contract compliance arrangements
Competent in understanding and meeting learner and employer needs.
Effective approaches to maintaining relationships and managing performance.
The ability to prioritise and organise workload.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong inter-personal skills.
The ability to work with and support colleagues and peers from employers and partner organisations.
The ability to assimilate information quickly
IT skills e.g. use of Microsoft Office suite and e-mail scheduler.
A flexible approach to work including hot-desking, local travel, unsocial hours, ability to work in the local community.
