Competencies and Skills (CLO 3 and 4)

Competency is skills that any company wants from his employee which some of this skill are
necessary for every job but some skill that is necessary for specific job. The HCT is working
to qualifying his student for these skills to be ready for future career. I think some of skill
that I acquired from my study in the HCT are team work which we always working in the
team within college which this skill needed to be helpful, listening to other and give you
opinion. Second skill is Communication skills which need to know how to communicate with
your colleague you employer and you customer. Third skills is solving problem skill which
help me a lot when I was in consumer production department which I study some course in
the college that develop solving problem skill which it need identify the problem and
consider some solution and select the best one and finally evaluated the solution and take
feedback. Also during my major I acquired some business awareness skill through business
courses such as marketing, finance, accounting and other. These courses help me to have
general knowledge of business practice.
Generally, there are many skills that I acquired in my study help me a lot in my work
placement training but I need more development of my communication skill special with the
customer which I need to be more confident when I talk with them which this help me to earn
their trust and ease to dealing with them. Also solving problem skill I think this skill need
more experience to develop it because I think the situation may I face during the work I will
learn from it and help me in the future to avoid the mistake and easy to solve the problem
may I face. Therefore, I think HCT College is prepare us to work place in very excellent way
which we covered many courses that help us a lot in work place and I think the other skill we
can acquire during future work experience.

In my opinion I think RAK Economic department is very excellent place for training student
to choose this place or to have job their specially for business student because this is good
place to apply what you learn for the college. It is suitable place to have experience and it is
an opportunity to develop your skills.

Would you like to work in this organization or a similar type of organization when you
graduate? Give reasons for your answer.

I think it is very good chance for me to work in this company or similar to this company
because I think it is very suitable place to apply what I learn in the college and it has very
good team of people who help me a lot to learn and understand the natural of their work also
they are very cooperation with each other in each department. In addition, I think the
important think the employee want in any place to work is appropriate working environment
to help the employee to be more productivity and to provide the best service to their customer
and this will help to develop company.

How has your Work Experience placement affected your future career plans? What do
you want to do in the future?

Work experience I think is one of step the student should try it because I think from my
expertise it is open you mind to look to real job life and learn from the situation that have
during daily work like it is an opportunity to understand yourself and what the skill you need
to develop and understand other either employee or customer to learn for employee
experience and to understand the characters of customer and how each customer think to
avoid some mistake may occur to you.
