MERRY CHRISTMAS
from the Mylins…
on Assignment in the US

Montauban Biblical and Theological Conference

The 3rd annual Biblical and Theological Conference will take place on January 14th in Montauban.
Speakers will be Pierre Berthoud, professor of Old Testament at Aix-en-Provence Seminary and
Nicolas Farelly, former co-worker from Paris days and currently director of the Protestant Cultural
Forum. Mark led the organizing committee which worked all year to prepare for this edition. We
will be flying to France for 10 days in January for a visit and so that Marti can help run the
Conference. We will also give our neighbors a little break from caring for our house and cat!

 Please be in prayer for the Biblical and Theological Conference in January. Ask that
God might use the teaching and fellowship to strengthen and encourage church
leaders and members from all over Southwest France.

10-year cards
Before we left France in September, we picked up our 10-year resident cards from the French
government. We requested this privilege three years in a row and it was finally accorded this
year! This means we will not need to apply for a visa to re-enter the country next Fall. Our old
cards had to be renewed yearly.  Thank God with us for his grace in this and all things!

Continuing Home Assignment

The Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Annapolis has, for
years, housed foreign missionaries who are in the States for a
certain period of time. Last year, their “mission house” was
completely renovated and refurnished and we are the first to
occupy the renovated house. We are very thankful that the
EP Annapolis church is committed to this ministry. It is good
to have a comfortable and well-located place to live for the
year we are in the US.

Financial Considerations
One of our jobs this year is to find new financial support for our work in France. Thanks to
commitments and gifts from 17 churches and almost 100 individuals and families, we have been
able to serve the French church “free of charge” for over 15 years. What generosity we have
seen on the part of the American church and American believers! The Montauban church
actually does pay Mark’s ministry expenses, but this is a small fraction of the cost to live and
work in France. For many reasons, we now need to find an additional $15,454/year in pledges
($1,288/month). Would you consider playing a part in providing for the material needs of this
work?
Are you already giving? Thanks so much. We are grateful.
Not yet giving? If you want to become a financial supporter, you can go to the GEM website at:
http://www.gemission.org/Donate/Faith.asp . Our account number is 30250. Your gift to Greater
Europe Mission will be designated for our support.
Do you have friends who might be interested in supporting our work? You might put us
in touch with others so that we may explain our work and present opportunities to participate
with us in our work of evangelism, discipleship and leadership development.

Thank you for your commitment, In Christ,

Mark & Marti Mylin
