Tonight" , would like to talk a little bit about the Prayer Life of Jesus. ,f ,
can have somebody post the &ord for me tonight" that would be great. , am
not going to talk long" amen" but , am going to talk a little bit about the Prayer

the *ody of the +hrist will continue to be exposed to the atmosphere of

,n the book of Mark of chapter one verse thirty9five we take a sneak peak in the
Life of #esus in prayer. ,t says, (nd in the morning! rising up! a great while
*efore day +e ,Jesus- went out and +e departed into a solitary place and
there prayed. Verse" ah" thirty" the next verse please. (nd Simon and they
that were with +im followed after +im. The next verse please. (nd when
they found +im they said to +im! all men see. for thee. The post the last
verse" verse thirty9eight please" (nd +e said unto them let us go into the
ne/t towns that I might preach there also. %or therefore! I ha)e come forth.
Tonight" as we read the scriptures there is very little about the 9Prayer Life of
Jesus.; The *ible talks about when #esus prayed in the morning. The *ible
talks about when #esus prayed in the afternoon. The *ible talks about when
#esus prayed at night. o many people have asked me" Sister !ara, when is
the "est time to pray# May answer is always" Just do it. 7nd tonight" ,
want to share with you Jesus verse thirty9five, e $ot up%% In the

oEclock before dawn. #esus got up(( 5e got up from being with 5is disciples"
and 5e went away to a place. ,t says that" 5e got up in the morning between
three oEclock and six oEclock and 5e went to pray. This time is as 5e got up"
& $reat while before the day. 5e went out and 5e departed into a solitary
place. , want to talk about this 'solitary place( because it is a place that
represents a place that tells us about the wor% of the Prayer !ife of Jesus.

means that it is a place. that is lonely. +ome on now( #esus
went out to pray in a place that was un)inha"ited. +ome on now( #esus went
out to desert places. , love the 0reek it means. unculti*ated place that is fit for
pastura$e.
The *ible says that #esus went out to this solitary place. ,t is not only a lonely
place" it is not only a deserted place" it is not only an uncultivated place fit for
fellowship" for pasturage" but also the *ible says it is deserted of others. The
*ible says that this word solitary place means to be depri*ed of any aid, to "e
depri*ed of any protection+ to be depri*ed of any type of friends and to "e
depri*ed of any types of ac,uaintances. The *ible says that this solitary place
also means a floc- that is deserted "y the Shepherd. 7nd tonight" #esus went
out to a place to pray. 5e went to a place to pray were there was no pasturage.
,t was lonely. ,t was deserted.
7nd there are so many people in the *ody of +hrist tonight that are in that
place. They are in a place where they are lonely. They are in a place where
there is no fit for friendship. They are in a place where there is no
ac?uaintance. They are in a place where they feel totally deprived. 7nd the
reason why the 5oly pirit has you in that place in your life is because 5e is
building that place of intercession((
'haracteristics of the Secret Place
*ecause 5e is building that place called the ecret Place((( ,t is a place where
the 5oly pirit has positioned you to pray(( ,t is a place where the 5oly pirit
positioned to intercede. 'ou see" in the realm of the pirit when it comes to
prayer there are needs that need to be met. %arlier we prayed for a little boy
that was adopted and was shaken so bad by his parents that this young boy
would live a physically challenged life through out his life. , would like to use

this as an example" tonight. &here there is no place of prayer in the realm of
the pirit there is no aid of the oly Spirit. #ust like we saw with this little boy
#osh tonight" where there is no prayer in the realm of the pirit going forth

"rin$ aid to meet that ni$ht. 7nd tonight" there are uncultivated places in our
life((
Tonight" there is uncultivated places fit for pasturage" the *ible says that in the
Mark chapter one" verse thirty9one and thirty9five" #esus got up in the morning"
and 5e went out to pray. ,t wasnEt a regular place 5e went to pray" but it was a
place that was called a solitary place. 7 deserted place((
0esire of the :oly Sirit in Prayer: Learn to Build in the Sirit 1eal! a
Place of #&ree!ent with the :oly Sirit.
'ou see the 5oollllllllllly pirit wants you to go out to pray and meet the needs
of others because the needs of others need to go forth in the realm of the pirit.
The 5oly pirit is calling you to pray Dust like #esus prayed in the solitary
places. They are deprived of aid of the 5oly pirit.
,n 0enesis chapter one we see that the 5oly pirit brooded upon the face of the
earth" and 5e began to create. 7nd tonight" Dust like #esus when 5e went out
into the wilderness to pray to this solitary place the 5oly pirit is there ready((
To meet the need((( The 5oly pirit is there ready to meet the aid(( The 5oly
pirit is there ready to go forth to bring power(( Miracles(( ;eliverance((

rely upon. ,n the ecret Place the 5oly pirit has to be the closest Person to
you. The 5oly pirit has to be the !ne that can get through to you to teach
your hands to war and your fingers to fight. The 5oly pirit wants to be the

,t is so interesting to me that when #esus got up a great while before the day"
remember the morning is three oEclock to six oEclock it is the fourth watch.

+anEt help but think if #esus" while 5e was there praying" thought about the
morning at this same time that 5e was taken before Pontius Pilate and 5e
would be accused of the brethren. , canEt help but think" it was morning at this
same time when you study the Prayer Life of #esus" when 5e got up and saw
the fig tree" and there was no fruit on it. #esus said to the tree" Kto dieE because
it bared forth no fruit. *ecause it was in the morning that #esus went out to
pray at these same times" it was morning that Mary came to the tomb and saw
the stone rolled away. ,t was that same time that #esus got up to pray" that we
are looking at in this particular verse.
,t was the same time that #esus was born in this little town *ethlehem in the
night" before the day came" it was the same that amuel the Prophet went to the
house of #esse to anoint and find the next @ing and here came ;avid in the
morning before the day came" from feeding the )atherEs sheep as he was
praying and as he was worshipping. , canEt help if #esus thought about these

that place of anointing for you to go forth into the things that 0od called you to

0reek means to. go away in order to follow. To go away" in order to follow
5im as Leader. To go away" depart.
There are times in the life of a believerL the *ible says #esus went out to pray.
There are times in the life of a believer where we canEt seem to hear what 0od
is saying. &here we canEt seem to see in the ecret Place what #esus is doing.
There are times in our lives when allllllll stands still and canEt ?uite grasp the
voice of 0od. omething is happening in the realm of the pirit" /hat is it#
7nd the *ible says that #esus departed.

7s we look a little bit closer to the BPrayer Life of #esusC the solitary place it
was a place that was uninha"ited. ,t was a place that had opportunity. 'ou see
places where they seem lonely" that solitary place what it means in the 0reek
means" opportunity. Places that seem deserted is a place of opportunity" in the

seem to be solitary" or" deserted is a place of opportunity.
7nd there are places in our life" in the ecret Place that are unfit and 0od has
called you there by the 5oly pirit to make it fit(( The 5oly pirit is there
brooding over in the realm of the pirit in these unfit places" these deserted
places. These places that are ready for the aid of the 5oly pirit. 5e is calling
you(( #ust like 5e called #esus into this solitary place to get ready to pray(( To
begin to pray(( 7nd we are going to begin to see what happens but first we
need to understand the Prayer !ife of Jesus. 5e departed to a place there 5e

the example #esus going forth. 5ere we see the disciples waking up" early in
the morning" to follow. 'ou see" what opportunity it is right now" this moment
that we can sei1e to learn how to follow the 5oly pirit in prayer. 8ninhibited
places. Places deprived of aid. Places where it seems that the commune of the
5oly pirit is ?uiet it is Because e is callin$ you to follow. ,t is because
5e is calling you to !earn how to followC in the ecret Place.
'ou see" if you canEt learn how to follow the 5oly pirit in the ecret Place
you canEt learn to follow the 5oly pirit of influence or your place of ministry
and the things that 0od has called you to do. 7nd that is why we have to get
into the ecret Place((
&e got to see how #esus got up in the morning(( &e got to see how #esus went
out to pray(( &e got to see how #esus looked for opportunity to pray(( &e got
to see how the disciples knew that 5e wasnEt there" so they begin to follow
5im. &herever #esus isnEt found that is where we need to follow 5im in the
ecret Place tonight.
The 5oly pirit wants to lead you to that place of prayer(( The 5oly pirit
wants to lead you to that place of intercession(( The 5oly pirit wants you put
into those deserted places before your life so that you can pray(( The 5oly
pirit wants to deprive you of your friends Dust like the word solitary means((
,t means deprived of aid( ;eprived of friends(( ;eprived of ac?uaintances of
everything around you so that you can get to that place of prayer.
