LinPhone SIP Configuration for Smartphones Quick


Guide

A. Prerequisites

Before using the Seamore XChange Box voice services via smartphones, following
prerequisites must be given:

WiFi access point connected and managed by the Seamore XChange Box
Smartphone connected via WiFi to the access point
SIP client supported on the smartphone (iOS or Android)

Telemar recommends LinPhone a free of charge SIP client available for iOS and
Android devices to be downloaded from the Apple store and Android store.

In each Seamore installation there are 20 VOIP telephone accounts available for the
Crew devices (Smartphone and Tablets):

Follow the steps below to setup the LinPhone client on IOS Terminals:

B. SIP Client Setup (IPhone/IPad) on IOS devices

1) Go on the Apple App Store and search LinPhone



2) After installation Open the LinPhone Application:

Click on Start

4) Click on I have already a SIP account:

5) Insert following parameters:
Username: sipphonex (with x from 1 to 20);
Password: sipphonex (with x from 1 to 20);
Domain: seamore.box



Click on Audio and select the following audio Codec: Speex 8Khz

6) Click on the Center (keyboard Icon) and the parameters are automatically saved.
The installation and configuration has been done, to make a call see appropriate
instructions.

C. SIP Client Setup (Android Samsung Galaxy)

1) Click on PlayStore and search LinPhone application:

Press on the application:

2) Click on Install and Accept:

After Download and Installation, open the LinPhone Application:

Click on Lets go

5) Click on I have already a SIP account:


6) Insert following parameters:
Username: sipphonex (with x from 1 to 20);
Password: sipphonex (with x from 1 to 20);
Domain: seamore.box



7) Click on Settings

8) Click on Audio:



9) Remove all selected codec except the following audio Codec: Speex 8Khz
10) Return to main screen (the settings will automatically saved).

D. Make a Call




Request an available SIP account from the Captain or Administrator and Pin Code for
prepayed service.

The "LinPhone" application connects automatically to Seamore XChange Box
telephony server. After a few seconds the call button turns green and is ready to use.
To place a call, simply follow below procedure:

b) Press 1 for Standard Voice;
c) Wait response; Insert the eight Pin followed
by #,
d) Insert the Pin code followed by #
e) Wait the check about credits:
f) Insert the number to be called in the following
format:
00 + country code + local code + subscriber
number + #
The call will be established;
PrePaid Calls
(VOIP)
Ship to
Shore
From SmartPhones make a call using the following
procedure:
g) Call the 0;
h) Press 2 for VOIP service;
i) Wait response; Insert the eight Pin followed
by #,
j) Insert the Pin code followed by #
k) Wait the check about credits:
l) Insert the number to be called in the following
format:
00 + country code + local code + subscriber
number + #
The call will be established;
Universal Card
Calls
Ship to
Shore
From phones (bridge, crew, or Own Smartphones) make
a call using the following procedure:
a) Call the 0
b) Press 6 for Universal card;
c) Wait the shore response Insert the twelve Pin
code number,
d) Insert the Pin code followed by #;
e) Insert the number to be called in the following
format:
00 + country code + local code + subscriber
number + #
The call will be established;
Internal Calls Ship to
Shore
From phones (bridge, crew, or Own Smartphones) make
a call using the following procedure:
m) Call the 0
n) Press 9 for Internal calls:
o) Insert the internal extension number to be called in
the following format: xxx followed by #
p) The call will be established;
