Chapel where we have begun a new season with a new
Pastor. The church continues to grow physically and
spiritually.
A Letter From Pastor Tom and Sheilani

Dear Friends and Loved Ones in the Philippines and our supporters
throughout the world:
We have arrived in sunny Southern California and are in the
process of adjusting to a new environment. We spend most of our
time getting acclimated to our new surroundings as we pray for what
the Lord has for our future.

We attend church at Calvary Chapel of Downey for Sunday
and Mid-Week services. We are about to get involved with our Care
Team and I will take over leading the team in July or August.

We have been out to eat a few times and have attended a BBQ
where Sheilani found out she likes to play baseball. (She was pretty
good too).

Of course we miss all of our friends and congregation in the
Philippines and we miss Chai Chai, Tiny and Sarah very much. I
haven't yaw yawed anyone for a month.

We are working to raise support for needy students there and
will continue to do so. On June 7th there will be a welcome home
celebration for us at the church and we will share about the ministry
in Cebu.

We have had contact with many people you know like Maurice
and Maria and the kids, Susan Clark, Dave Coon, Lee Garcia, Pastor
Jessie, Terye Brown and Cheyenne and Lewis, Michael Chacon, Uncle
James, Pastor Jason, Larry Fries, Virginia Gallagher, Eric, and many
others. They all asked how you are doing and they all say hello.

For my health, I have had some tests and more to do before
the final decision on surgery. Hopefully it will all be resolved by the
end of June.

We are working on our immigration papers and hope to have
them all submitted by the time you read this. Thanks for your
continued prayers.

Meet the Pastor

Our new Senior Pastor is Brian
Versoza who is a graduate of
the U-Turn for Christ Bible
School in Samar. Brian did his
internship at Shepherd's Heart
Calvary Chapel under Pastor
Tom and has worked with the
church for 5 years.

Brian teaches Cebuano
Service, Midweek Service,
Home Bible Study and also
drives for the church.
Youth and Young Adults Summer Outing

Last May 24, 2014 Young Adults and Youth enjoy under the heat of the sun at the Vao Beach. They have games,
food and bible study. They are 35 Youths and Young Adults combined, majority of those are regular attendees.
New Church location

Started May 4th, the church
Services will be held at Apas
Gym a quarter of a mile (400
meters) away from the
previous church location. First
Service (Cebuano) is at 8:30
and Second Service (English)is
at 10:00. Night of worship
was held at Rooftop of the
Brgy. Hall.

Midweek still continues and
more people come in a
regular basis. Its held at the
church office/staff home.

The church office has moved
to a new location. Some
church workers live at the
second floor of the house. The
living room or parking space
is where the midweek is held.

Youth Fellowship now meets
at IT Park.
