intro - coming to Christ, standing firm in what we believe in order to share wha
t we believe
it's easy for the devil to take away the seed that is not planted DEEP
once we know that we know without a doubt...we'll keep that seed and not let it
go and by the conviction we have of the truth we'll be able to boldly share THE
TRUTH because we KNOW it as THE TRUTH and the ONLY TRUTH
1+1 =2
if I know that 1=1 then every math problem from addition to calculus makes sense
. You CANNOT DENY THE TRUTH!
but if I learned that 1=2 then NOTHING WILL EVER MAKE SENSE. Maybe to you, but
to everyone else...
Same with Christ. We need to understand and KNOW that HE IS THE TRUTH, ONLY TRU
TH, AND THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH!
And that only comes by BELIEVING THAT HE IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS and ACCEPTING WHAT
HE SAYS HE IS GIVING!
So this teaching, I hope, will help you to understand WHY YOU NEED JESUS? and wh
en you know the WHY then I pray that your response will be BELIEF (100%) and and
your CONVICTION of this truth will help you to move forward in Christ!
Not saying that you aren't gonna stumble, or some of us may even go backwards an
d put God on the shelf for a little while, but ONCE THE CORNER STONE IF SET, THE
FOUNDATION CAN BE PUT INTO PLACE AGAIN and YOU CAN AND WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE FO
RWARD! THIS IS THE SEED THAT WILL PRODUCE FRUIT!

1) Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God
2) Romans 3:10 - "There is none righteous..."
3) Romans 5:12 - death spread to all, because all sinned...
WE ARE SINNERS! The consequences of our actions SHOW that what we were doing ou
t there was not only WRONG but KILLING us and everyone around us.
God is a HOLY God. Yes He is LOVE but HE IS JUST. He is SO PERFECT that to be
UNJUST would be against HIS character (to let sin go unpunished)
4) Romans 6:23a - For the wages of sin is death...
"wages of sin" denotes wages due. Sin here is seen as a TYRANT KING, who after
has used us for his service pays us with the only thing he can pay us with, DEAT
H. [Jas 1.15 - sin, when full grown, brings forth death]
BECAUSE WE ARE ALL SINNERS WHAT DO WE DESERVE?
DEATH!
WHEN THE GREAT JUDGEMENT COMES B/C of SIN WE WILL EARN OUR SENTENCE OF DEATH! T
HIS IS ETERNAL DEATH
[DAN 12.2 - And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, SO
ME TO EVERLASTING LIFE, some to shame and EVERLASTING CONTEMPT]
CONTEMT def. offense to the court, guilt shall be upon you
B/C God is the JUDGE we WILL BE JUDGED!
(Only God can judge me! - OH HE WILL!)

WHERE IS OUR HOPE?
5) Romans 6.23b - But the GIFT of GOD is ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST!
we WERE all condemned.
6) Romans 5.8 - But God demonstrates...
WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS!
- we didn't have to come all cleaned up!
- we need to understand that we are sinners. Jesus came not to save those who t
hink they are righteous, but those who KNOW THEY ARE SINNERS!
"I AM A SINNER AND I NEED A SAVIOR!"
YOU WILL NEVER BE SAVED IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE YOU ARE A SINNER! (TRUTH#1)
- we deserve death and HELL is where we were going
WE ARE IN NEED OF A SAVIOR AND HIS NAME IS JESUS! (TRUTH#2)
How do I get saved?
7) Romans 10.9-10 - That if you confess...and believe in your heart...
YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE IT WITH YOUR HEART! And this belief comes with the knowledg
e of our need for a Savior!
8) Romans 10.13 - "whoever calls on the Lord shall be saved"
How do I know if I'm saved? FAITH. But it's a faith based on FACT! You have t
o believe FACTS and believe that the BIBLE is truth and that what we're preachin
g (Christ) IS FACT!
BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN MY HEART and CONFESS CHRIST I AM SAVED (TRUTH#3)
9) Romans 10.17 - Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God
How will you KNOW THAT YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE SAVED? By the evidence of a changed
life
The paralytic - that you MAY KNOW that Jesus forgives sins, GET UP AND WALK!
as we walk out this Christian walk, obeying the word of God to walk, it shows an
d we can KNOW that we are SAVED!
