These Documents contain:
Challenging Vocabulary both academic and
content.
Rigorous reading material that allows students to
expand their comprehension and understanding of
history.
Writing components that force students to pull
information from the text to become better
researchers and historians.
Debating skills
Language is a bridge to
communication
Benefits of learning a second language:
The life-long ability to communicate with people from other countries
and backgrounds.
Americans fluent in other languages improve global communication,
enhance our economic competitiveness abroad, and maintain our
political interests.
Improved overall school performance and superior problem-solving
skills.
Learning a second language can enhance knowledge of English structure
and vocabulary.
Students of foreign language tend to score higher on standardized tests.
