Were transforming BGC High Street into centre of Philippine photography as we put together the best photographers and instructors in the country, foreign speakers, exhibitors, sale, demonstrations, live shoots, rafe, entertainment, and rafe into one crazy and action-packed day. MORE THAN JUST WORKSHOPS! Alongside the awesome lectures at DPP8, there will be lots of special events and activities including: LIVE SHOOTS A jammed-pack day of shooting with top photographers who set up the shoot, explain the technique and allow you to participate taking shots. We have four 90-minute sessions happening throughout the day with different themes. Youll learn new techniques when you observe a professional in their element.List of LECTURES RAYMUND ISAAC - OUTDOOR FASHION Venturing outside of familiar studio surroundings into the great outdoors is both challenging and liberating. Free from the constraints of four walls, you can get your creative juices owing with a whole host of new scenarios, locations, and moods. In this class, fashion photography guru Raymund Isaac will show students how he shoots fashion, applying techniques and that adap to the location.
JIGGIE ALEJANDRINO - LIGHTING: ONE.TWO.THREE. Strobist photographer Jiggie Alejandrino will demonstrate the process of shooting portraits with a different number of light sources; starting from the many possibilities with one light, to greater effects of using three lights. Jiggie will also discuss the proper use of lights, such as when (or when not) to use them.
XANDER ANGELES/NIKO VILLEGAS - LIGHT BENDING The Edge of Light duo, Xander Angeles and Niko Villegas, will open your eyes to creative ways of lighting as they unveil their own secrets on stage.
ROMMEL BUNDALIAN - SHOOTING THE URBAN, A STREET PHOTOGRAPHY APPROACH In this photo walk/workshop, Rommel will tackle the basics of shooting urban landscapes from a street photographer's point of view. Though most street photographs include the presence of people, photographers will learn how to strip away this element while nding meaningful social commentary in the images.
PILAR TUASON - CONQUERINGMIDDAYLIGHT Shooting at high noon can be extremely challenging, but midday's harsh lighting conditions can be harnessed for beautiful results!. In this workshop, Pilar will discuss the tools at your disposal, enabling you to tame and conquer midday lighting conditions. We will cover natural reectors, scrim and diffusers, reectors, off-camera ash, and strobes on location.

MARK DIMALANTA - SHOOTING THE SUMMER A live lecture to his feature article in the new Exposure magazine published by DPP, Mark Dimalanta shows you all the tips and tricks on how to get the best shots this summer whether it be shooting in the water, the beach, a sports event, or board sports. A live demonstration will take place after Marks brief lecture.
WESLEY VILLARICA - CINEMATOGRAPHY TIPS AND TRICKS AND HOW TO USE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY SKILLS INTO VIDEOGRAPHY Cinematographers occupy a central role in providing a lm or vide with a unique tone and visual context while capturing unique shots that stay in the minds of viewers. Most cinematographers though, start as photographers; that is why they are also called as Directors of Photography. In this lecture, Wesley will give you tips and tricks on doing cinematography for your next video project.
JIJO DE GUZMAN - INTRO TO SPORTS PHOTOGRAPHY Sports photography is one of the few remaining pure forms of documentary photography. The moment happens and it is gone. You either capture it in an image or you don't. Unlike television, still photographers don't have the luxury of instant replay. Expert sports shooter Jijo De Guzman will teach participants how to perfect shooting the eeting moments of an action-packed event.
JAY TABLANTE - EOS RAW ADVENTURE: SUPERHERO EDITION From the Western practice of dressing in costumes during Halloween, Cosplay is a cultural pastime most prevalent in the Japanese district of Harajuku, where denizens dress up in costumes to portray their favorite characters. The photography aspect naturally evolved from there, with taking pictures as the easiest way to document from there. Philippines Cosplay photography pioneer Jay Tablante shares his lighting techniques in his DPP 8 lecture.

RICHARD CHEN - EVOCATIVE BEAUTY A fashion professional photographer in the competitive Singapore market, Richard Chen has developed a reputation as one of the photographers who combines creativity with technical excellence. Richard expresses his works and perspectives using light which he says is his language, paint brush and chisel. Expect Richard to show his air and creativity by creating a beauty shot using one strobe and a projector. You wont want to miss this.
