This application form is intended to help the Design Council understand the
complexity of the service and its ambitions and to ensure that the necessary
resources are available to make the project a success. This application form will be
used at a selection panel held in November to select a maximum of 7 projects to be
taken forward. Please provide details of the project you would like to put forward for
the scheme, attaching any supporting documentation that will help explain it to the
team.

For your organisation to benefit fully from the scheme, your nominated project manager will
need to commit at least 9 days over a 6 month period. It will also greatly benefit the project if
the project sponsor can attend key meetings and or workshops. Please confirm that this time
will be factored into work plans.

As part of the project there will be several workshop days and mentoring visits with the
project team and other partners. Please can you confirm that you are able to provide internal
resources to set-up these events?

The programme could include up to 8 days of design mentoring support for your team. It will
not cover the costs of implementing the changes identified. The design team’s role is to help
you identify opportunities; support your team in preparing briefs, running tenders and
integrating the changes into current service offerings. Please give an indication of how you
might fund and implement these changes.
