Persuasion & Brainwashing Techniques

Being Used On The Public Today

by and copyright Dick Sutphen
This text is a transcript of a studio-recorded, expanded version of a talk I delivered at the World Congress
of Professional Hypnotists Convention in Las Vegas, evada! "lthough the tape carries a copyright to protect
it fro# unla$ful duplication for sale %y other co#panies, in this case, I invite individuals to #ake copies and
give the# to friends or anyone in a position to co##unicate this infor#ation!
&verything I $ill relate only exposes the surface of the pro%le#! I don't kno$ ho$ the #isuse of these
techni(ues can %e stopped! I don't think it is possi%le to legislate against that $hich often cannot %e
detected) and if those $ho legislate are using these techni(ues, there is little hope of affecting la$s to
govern usage! I do kno$ that the first step to initiate change is to generate interest!
In talking a%out this su%*ect, I a# talking a%out #y o$n %usiness! I kno$ it, and I kno$ ho$ effective it can
%e! I produce hypnosis and su%li#inal tapes and, in so#e of #y se#inars, I use conversion tactics to assist
participants to %eco#e independent and self-sufficient! +ut, anyti#e I use these techni(ues, I point out that
I a# using the#, and those attending have a choice to participate or not! They also kno$ $hat the desired
result of participation $ill %e!
,o, to %egin, I $ant to state the #ost %asic of all facts a%out %rain$ashing- In the entire history of #an, no-
one has ever %een %rain$ashed and reali.ed, or %elieved, that he had %een %rain$ashed! Those $ho have
%een %rain$ashed $ill usually passionately defend their #anipulators, clai#ing they have si#ply %een /sho$n
the light/ or have %een transfor#ed in #iraculous $ays!
The Birth of Conersion
Conversion is a /nice/ $ord for %rain$ashing and any study of %rain$ashing has to %egin $ith a study of Christian
revivalis# in eighteenth century "#erica! "pparently, 0onathan &d$ards accidentally discovered the techni(ues
during a religious crusade in 1234 in ortha#pton, 5assachusetts! +y inducing guilt and acute apprehension and
%y increasing the tension, the /sinners/ attending his revival #eetings $ould %reak do$n and co#pletely su%#it!
Technically, $hat &d$ards $as doing $as creating conditions that $ipe the %rain slate clean so that the #ind
accepts ne$ progra##ing! The pro%le# $as that the ne$ input $as negative! He $ould tell the#, /6ou're a sinner7
6ou're destined for hell7/
"s a result, one person co##itted suicide and another atte#pted suicide! "nd the neigh%ors of the suicidal
converts related that they, too, $ere affected so deeply that, although they had found /eternal salvation,/ they
$ere o%sessed $ith a dia%olical te#ptation to end their o$n lives!
8nce a preacher, cult leader, #anipulator or authority figure creates the %rain phase to $ipe the %rain-slate
clean, his su%*ects are $ide open! e$ input, in the for# of suggestion, can %e su%stituted for their previous
ideas! +ecause &d$ards didn't turn his #essage positive until the end of the revival, #any accepted the negative
suggestions and acted, or desired to act, upon the#!
Charles 0! 9inney $as another Christian revivalist $ho used the sa#e techni(ues four years later in #ass religious
conversions in e$ 6ork! The techni(ues are still %eing used today %y Christian revivalists, cults, hu#an-potential
trainings, so#e %usiness rallies, and the :nited ,tates "r#ed ,ervices to na#e *ust a fe$!
Let #e point out here that I don't think #ost revivalist preachers reali.e or kno$ they are using %rain$ashing
techni(ues! &d$ards si#ply stu#%led upon a techni(ue that really $orked, and others copied it and have
continued to copy it for over t$o hundred years! "nd the #ore sophisticated our kno$ledge and technology
%eco#e, the #ore effective the conversion! I feel strongly that this is one of the #a*or reasons for the
increasing rise in Christian funda#entalis#, especially the televised variety, $hile #ost of the orthodox religions
are declining!

The Three Brain Phases
The Christians #ay have %een the first to successfully for#ulate %rain$ashing, %ut $e have to look to Pavlov, the
;ussian scientist, for a technical explanation! In the early 1<==s, his $ork $ith ani#als opened the door to
further investigations $ith hu#ans! "fter the revolution in ;ussia, Lenin $as (uick to see the potential of
applying Pavlov's research to his o$n ends!
Three distinct and progressive states of trans#arginal inhi%ition $ere identified %y Pavlov! The first is the
&>:IV"L&T phase, in $hich the %rain gives the sa#e response to %oth strong and $eak sti#uli! The second is
the P";"?8@IC"L phase, in $hich the %rain responds #ore actively to $eak sti#uli than to strong! "nd the
third is the :LT;"-P";"?8@IC"L phase, in $hich conditioned responses and %ehavior patterns turn fro#
positive to negative or fro# negative to positive!
With the progression through each phase, the degree of conversion %eco#es #ore effective and co#plete! The
$ay to achieve conversion are #any and varied, %ut the usual first step in religious or political %rain$ashing is to
$ork on the e#otions of an individual or group until they reach an a%nor#al level of anger, fear, excite#ent, or
nervous tension!
The progressive result of this #ental condition is to i#pair *udg#ent and increase suggesti%ility! The #ore this
condition can %e #aintained or intensified, the #ore it co#pounds! 8nce catharsis, or the first %rain phase, is
reached, the co#plete #ental takeover %eco#es easier! &xisting #ental progra##ing can %e replaced $ith ne$
patterns of thinking and %ehavior!
8ther often-used physiological $eapons to #odify nor#al %rain functions are fasting, radical or high sugar diets,
physical disco#forts, regulation of %reathing, #antra chanting in #editation, the disclosure of a$eso#e
#ysteries, special lighting and sound effects, progra##ed response to incense, or intoxicating drugs!
The sa#e results can %e o%tained in conte#porary psychiatric treat#ent %y electric shock treat#ents and even
%y purposely lo$ering a person's %lood sugar level $ith insulin in*ections!
+efore I talk a%out exactly ho$ so#e of the techni(ues are applied, I $ant to point out that hypnosis and
conversion tactics are t$o distinctly different things-and that conversion techni(ues are far #ore po$erful!
Ho$ever, the t$o are often #ixed $ith po$erful results!
!ow "eialist Preachers #ork
If you'd like to see a revivalist preacher at $ork, there are pro%a%ly several in your city! Ao to the church or
tent early and sit in the rear, a%out three-(uarters of the $ay %ack! 5ost likely repetitive #usic $ill %e played
$hile the people co#e in for the service! " repetitive %eat, ideally ranging fro# B4 to 2C %eats per #inute Da
rhyth# close to the %eat of the hu#an heartE, is very hypnotic and can generate an eyes-open altered state of
consciousness in a very high percentage of people! "nd, once you are in an alpha state, you are at least C4 ti#es
as suggesti%le as you $ould %e in full %eta consciousness! The #usic is pro%a%ly the sa#e for every service, or
incorporates the sa#e %eat, and #any of the people $ill go into an altered state al#ost i##ediately upon
entering the sanctuary! ,u%consciously, they recall their state of #ind fro# previous services and respond
according to the post-hypnotic progra##ing!
Watch the people $aiting for the service to %egin! 5any $ill exhi%it external signs of trance-%ody relaxation and
slightly dilated eyes! 8ften, they %egin s$aying %ack and forth $ith their hands in the air $hile sitting in their
chairs! ext, the assistant pastor $ill pro%a%ly co#e out! He usually speaks $ith a pretty good /voice roll!/
$oice "oll Technique
" /voice roll/ is a patterned, paced style used %y hypnotists $hen inducing a trance! It is also used %y #any
la$yers, several of $ho# are highly trained hypnotists, $hen they desire to entrench a point fir#ly in the #inds
of the *urors! " voice roll can sound as if the speaker $ere talking to the %eat of a #etrono#e or it #ay sound as
though he $ere e#phasi.ing every $ord in a #onotonous, patterned style! The $ords $ill usually %e delivered at
the rate of B4 to F= %eats per #inute, #axi#i.ing the hypnotic effect!
o$ the assistant pastor %egins the /%uild-up/ process! He induces an altered state of consciousness andGor
%egins to generate the excite#ent and the expectations of the audience! ext, a group of young $o#en in /s$eet
and pure/ chiffon dresses #ight co#e out to sing a song! Aospel songs are great for %uilding excite#ent and
IV8LV&5&T! In the #iddle of the song, one of the girls #ight %e /s#itten %y the spirit/ and fall do$n or
react as if possessed %y the Holy ,pirit! This very effectively increases the intensity in the roo#! "t this point,
hypnosis and conversion tactics are %eing #ixed! "nd the result is the audience's attention span is no$ totally
focused upon the co##unication $hile the environ#ent %eco#es #ore exciting or tense!
;ight a%out this ti#e, $hen an eyes-open #ass-induced alpha #ental state has %een achieved, they $ill usually
pass the collection plate or %asket! In the %ackground, a B4-%eat-per-#inute voice roll fro# the assistant
preacher #ight exhort, /Aive to Aod Aive to Aod Aive to Aod/ "nd the audience does give! Aod #ay not get the
#oney, %ut his already $ealthy representative $ill!
ext, the fire-and-%ri#stone preacher $ill co#e out! He induces fear and increases the tension %y talking a%out
/the devil,/ /going to hell,/ or the forthco#ing "r#egeddon!
In the last such rally I attended, the preacher talked a%out the %lood that $ould soon %e running out of every
faucet in the land! He $as also o%sessed $ith a /%loody axe of Aod,/ $hich everyone had seen hanging a%ove the
pulpit the previous $eek! I have no dou%t that everyone sa$ it-the po$er of suggestion given to hundreds of
people in hypnosis assures that at least 1= to C4 percent $ould see $hatever he suggested they see!
In #ost revivalist gatherings, /testifying/ or /$itnessing/ usually follo$s the fear-%ased ser#on! People fro# the
audience co#e up on stage and relate their stories! /I $as crippled and no$ I can $alk7/ /I had arthritis and no$
it's gone7/ It is a psychological #anipulation that $orks! "fter listening to nu#erous case histories of #iraculous
healings, the average guy in the audience $ith a #inor pro%le# is sure he can %e healed! The roo# is charged $ith
fear, guilt, intense excite#ent, and expectations!
o$ those $ho $ant to %e healed are fre(uently lined up around the edge of the roo#, or they are told to co#e
do$n to the front! The preacher #ight touch the# on the head fir#ly and screa#, /+e healed7/ This releases the
psychic energy and, for #any, catharsis results! Catharsis is a purging of repressed e#otions! Individuals #ight
cry, fall do$n or even go into spas#s! "nd if catharsis is effected, they stand a chance of %eing healed! In
catharsis Done of the three %rain phases #entioned earlierE, the %rain-slate is te#porarily $iped clean and the
ne$ suggestion is accepted!
9or so#e, the healing #ay %e per#anent! 9or #any, it $ill last four days to a $eek, $hich is, incidentally, ho$ long
a hypnotic suggestion given to a so#na#%ulistic su%*ect $ill usually last! &ven if the healing doesn't last, if they
co#e %ack every $eek, the po$er of suggestion #ay continually override the pro%le# or so#eti#es, sadly, it can
#ask a physical pro%le# $hich could prove to %e very detri#ental to the individual in the long run!
I'# not saying that legiti#ate healings do not take place! They do! 5ay%e the individual $as ready to let go of
the negativity that caused the pro%le# in the first place) #ay%e it $as the $ork of Aod! 6et I contend that it
can %e explained $ith existing kno$ledge of %rainG#ind function!
The techni(ues and staging $ill vary fro# church to church! 5any use /speaking in tongues/ to generate catharsis
in so#e $hile the spectacle creates intense excite#ent in the o%servers!
The use of hypnotic techni(ues %y religions is sophisticated, and professionals are assuring that they %eco#e
even #ore effective! " #an in Los "ngeles is designing, %uilding, and re$orking a lot of churches around the
country! He tells #inisters $hat they need and ho$ to use it! This #an's track record indicates that the
congregation and the #onetary inco#e $ill dou%le if the #inister follo$s his instructions! He ad#its that a%out
H= percent of his efforts are in the sound syste# and lighting!
Po$erful sound and the proper use of lighting are of pri#ary i#portance in inducing an altered state of
consciousnes-I've %een using the# for years in #y o$n se#inars! Ho$ever, #y participants are fully a$are of the
process and $hat they can expect as a result of their participation!

Si% Conersion Techniques
Cults and hu#an-potential organi.ations are al$ays looking for ne$ converts! To attain the#, they #ust also
create a %rain-phase! "nd they often need to do it $ithin a short space of ti#e-a $eekend, or #ay%e even a day!
The follo$ing are the six pri#ary techni(ues used to generate the conversion!
The #eeting or training takes place in an area $here participants are cut off fro# the outside $orld! This #ay %e
any place- a private ho#e, a re#ote or rural setting, or even a hotel %allroo# $here the participants are allo$ed
only li#ited %athroo# usage! In hu#an-potential trainings, the controllers $ill give a lengthy talk a%out the
i#portance of /keeping agree#ents/ in life! The participants are told that if they don't keep agree#ents, their
life $ill never $ork! It's a good idea to keep agree#ents, %ut the controllers are su%verting a positive hu#an
value for selfish purposes! The participants vo$ to the#selves and their trainer that they $ill keep their
agree#ents! "nyone $ho does not $ill %e inti#idated into agree#ent or forced to leave! The next step is to
agree to co#plete training, thus assuring a high percentage of conversions for the organi.ations! They $ill
:,:"LL6 have to agree not to take drugs, s#oke, and so#eti#es not to eat or they are given such short #eal
%reaks that it creates tension! The real reason for the agree#ents is to alter internal che#istry, $hich
generates anxiety and hopefully causes at least a slight #alfunction of the nervous syste#, $hich in turn
increases the conversion potential!
+efore the gathering is co#plete, the agree#ents $ill %e used to ensure that the ne$ converts go out and find
ne$ participants! They are inti#idated into agreeing to do so %efore they leave! ,ince the i#portance of keeping
agree#ents is so high on their priority list, the converts $ill t$ist the ar#s of everyone they kno$, atte#pting to
talk the# into attending a free introductory session offered at a future date %y the organi.ation! The ne$
converts are .ealots! In fact, the inside ter# for #erchandising the largest and #ost successful hu#an-potential
training is, /sell it %y .ealot7/
"t least a #illion people are graduates and a good percentage have %een left $ith a #ental activation %utton that
assures their future loyalty and assistance if the guru figure or organi.ation calls! Think a%out the potential
political i#plications of hundreds of thousands of .ealots progra##ed to ca#paign for their guru!
+e $ary of an organi.ation of this type that offers follo$-up sessions after the se#inar! 9ollo$-up sessions
#ight %e $eekly #eetings or inexpensive se#inars given on a regular %asis $hich the organi.ation $ill atte#pt to
talk you into taking-or any regularly scheduled event used to #aintain control! "s the early Christian revivalists
found, long-ter# control is dependent upon a good follo$-up syste#!
"lright! o$, let's look at the second tip-off that indicates conversion tactics are %eing used! " schedule is
#aintained that causes physical and #ental fatigue! This is pri#arily acco#plished %y long hours in $hich the
participants are given no opportunity for relaxation or reflection!
The third tip-off- techni(ues used to increase the tension in the roo# or environ#ent!
u#%er four- :ncertainty! I could spend hours relating various techni(ues to increase tension and generate
uncertainty! +asically, the participants are concerned a%out %eing /put on the spot/ or encountered %y the
trainers, guilt feelings are played upon, participants are te#pted to ver%ally relate their inner#ost secrets to
the other participants or forced to take part in activities that e#phasi.e re#oving their #asks! 8ne of the #ost
successful hu#an-potential se#inars forces the participants to stand on a stage in front of the entire audience
$hile %eing ver%ally attacked %y the trainers! " pu%lic opinion poll, conducted a fe$ years ago, sho$ed that the
nu#%er one #ost-fearful situation an individual could encounter is to speak to an audience! It ranked a%ove
$indo$ $ashing outside the H4th floor of an office %uilding! ,o you can i#agine the fear and tension this
situation generates $ithin the participants! 5any faint, %ut #ost cope $ith the stress %y #entally going a$ay!
They literally go into an alpha state, $hich auto#atically #akes the# #any ti#es as suggesti%le as they nor#ally
are! "nd another loop of the do$n$ard spiral into conversion is successfully effected!
The fifth clue that conversion tactics are %eing used is the introduction of *argon-ne$ ter#s that have #eaning
only to the /insiders/ $ho participate! Vicious language is also fre(uently used, purposely, to #ake participants
unco#forta%le!
The final tip-off is that there is no hu#or in the co##unications until the participants are converted! Then,
#erry-#aking and hu#or are highly desira%le as sy#%ols of the ne$ *oy the participants have supposedly /found!/
I'# not saying that good does not result fro# participation in such gatherings! It can and does! +ut I contend it
is i#portant for people to kno$ $hat has happened and to %e a$are that continual involve#ent #ay not %e in their
%est interest!
8ver the years, I've conducted professional se#inars to teach people to %e hypnotists, trainers, and counselors!
I've had #any of those $ho conduct trainings and rallies co#e to #e and say, /I'# here %ecause I kno$ that
$hat I'# doing $orks, %ut I don't kno$ $hy!/ "fter sho$ing the# ho$ and $hy, #any have gotten out of the
%usiness or have decided to approach it differently or in a #uch #ore loving and supportive #anner!
5any of these trainers have %eco#e personal friends, and it scares us all to have experienced the po$er of one
person $ith a #icrophone and a roo# full of people! "dd a little charis#a and you can count on a high percentage
of conversions! The sad truth is that a high percentage of people $ant to give a$ay their po$er-they are true
/%elievers/7
Cult gatherings or hu#an-potential trainings are an ideal environ#ent to o%serve first-hand $hat is technically
called the /,tockhol# ,yndro#e!/ This is a situation in $hich those $ho are inti#idated, controlled, or #ade to
suffer, %egin to love, ad#ire, and even so#eti#es sexually desire their controllers or captors!
+ut let #e in*ect a $ord of $arning here- If you think you can attend such gatherings and not %e affected, you
are pro%a%ly $rong! " perfect exa#ple is the case of a $o#an $ho $ent to Haiti on a Auggenhei# 9ello$ship to
study Haitian Voodoo! In her report, she related ho$ the #usic eventually induced uncontrolla%le %odily
#ove#ent and an altered state of consciousness! "lthough she understood the process and thought herself
a%ove it, $hen she %egan to feel herself %eco#e vulnera%le to the #usic, she atte#pted to fight it and turned
a$ay! "nger or resistance al#ost al$ays assures conversion! " fe$ #o#ents later she $as possessed %y the
#usic and %egan dancing in a trance around the Voodoo #eeting house! " %rain phase had %een induced %y the
#usic and excite#ent, and she a$oke feeling re%orn! The only hope of attending such gatherings $ithout %eing
affected is to %e a +uddha and allo$ no positive or negative e#otions to surface! 9e$ people are capa%le of such
detach#ent!
+efore I go on, let's go %ack to the six tip-offs to conversion! I $ant to #ention the :nited ,tates Aovern#ent
and #ilitary %oot ca#p! The 5arine Corps talks a%out %reaking #en do$n %efore /re%uilding/ the# as ne$ #en-as
#arines7 Well, that is exactly $hat they do, the sa#e $ay a cult %reaks its people do$n and re%uilds the# as
happy flo$er sellers on your local street corner! &very one of the six conversion techni(ues are used in %oot
ca#p! Considering the needs of the #ilitary, I'# not #aking a *udg#ent as to $hether that is good or %ad! IT I,
" 9"CT that the #en are effectively %rain$ashed! Those $ho $on't su%#it #ust %e discharged or spend #uch of
their ti#e in the %rig!

Decognition Process
8nce the initial conversion is effected, cults, ar#ed services, and si#ilar groups cannot have cynicis# a#ong
their #e#%ers! 5e#%ers #ust respond to co##ands and do as they are told, other$ise they are dangerous to
the organi.ational control! This is nor#ally acco#plished as a three-step ?ecognition Process!
,tep 8ne is "L&;T&,, ;&?:CTI8- The controllers cause the nervous syste# to #alfunction, #aking it
difficult to distinguish %et$een fantasy and reality! This can %e acco#plished in several $ays! P88; ?I&T is one)
$atch out for +ro$nies and Iool-"id! The sugar thro$s the nervous syste# off! 5ore su%tle is the /,PI;IT:"L
?I&T/ used %y #any cults! They eat only vegeta%les and fruits) $ithout the grounding of grains, nuts, seeds,
dairy products, fish or #eat, an individual %eco#es #entally /spacey!/ I"?&>:"T& ,L&&P is another pri#ary
$ay to reduce alertness, especially $hen co#%ined $ith long hours of $ork or intense physical activity! "lso,
%eing %o#%arded $ith intense and uni(ue experiences achieves the sa#e result!
,tep T$o is P;8A;"55&? C89:,I8- 6ou are #entally assaulted $hile your alertness is %eing reduced as in
,tep 8ne! This is acco#plished $ith a deluge of ne$ infor#ation, lectures, discussion groups, encounters or one-
to-one processing, $hich usually a#ounts to the controller %o#%arding the individual $ith (uestions! ?uring this
phase of decognition, reality and illusion often #erge and perverted logic is likely to %e accepted!
,tep Three is TH8:AHT ,T8PPIA- Techni(ues are used to cause the #ind to go /flat!/ These are altered-
state-of-consciousness techni(ues that initially induce cal#ness %y giving the #ind so#ething si#ple to deal $ith
and focusing a$areness! The continued use %rings on a feeling of elation and eventually hallucination! The result is
the reduction of thought and eventually, if used long enough, the cessation of all thought and $ithdra$al fro#
everyone and everything except that $hich the controllers direct! The takeover is then co#plete! It is i#portant
to %e a$are that $hen #e#%ers or participants are instructed to use /thought-stopping/ techni(ues, they are
told that they $ill %enefit %y so doing- they $ill %eco#e /%etter soldiers/ or /find enlighten#ent!/
There are three pri#ary techni(ues used for thought stopping! The first is 5";CHIA- the thu#p, thu#p,
thu#p %eat literally generates self-hypnosis and thus great suscepti%ility to suggestion!
The second thought stopping techni(ue is 5&?IT"TI8! If you spend an hour to an hour and a half a day in
#editation, after a fe$ $eeks, there is a great pro%a%ility that you $ill not return to full %eta consciousness! 6ou
$ill re#ain in a fixed state of alpha for as long as you continue to #editate! I'# not saying this is %ad-if you do it
yourself! It #ay %e very %eneficial! +ut it is a fact that you are causing your #ind to go flat! I've $orked $ith
#editators on an &&A #achine and the results are conclusive- the #ore you #editate, the flatter your #ind
%eco#es until, eventually and especially if used to excess or in co#%ination $ith decognition, all thought ceases!
,o#e spiritual groups see this as nirvana-$hich is %ullshit! It is si#ply a predicta%le physiological result! "nd if
heaven on earth is non-thinking and non-involve#ent, I really (uestion $hy $e are here!
The third thought-stopping techni(ue is CH"TIA, and often chanting in #editation! /,peaking in tongues/
could also %e included in this category!
"ll three-stopping techni(ues produce an altered state of consciousness! This #ay %e very good if 68: are
controlling the process, for you also control the input! I personally use at least one self-hypnosis progra##ing
session every day and I kno$ ho$ %eneficial it is for #e! +ut you need to kno$ if you use these techni(ues to the
degree of re#aining continually in alpha that, although you'll %e very #ello$, you'll also %e #ore suggesti%le!

True Belieers & &ass &oe'ents
+efore ending this section on conversion, I $ant to talk a%out the people $ho are #ost suscepti%le to it and
a%out 5ass 5ove#ents! I a# convinced that at least a third of the population is $hat &ric Hoffer calls /true
%elievers!/ They are *oiners and follo$ers people $ho $ant to give a$ay their po$er! They look for ans$ers,
#eaning, and enlighten#ent outside the#selves!
Hoffer, $ho $rote TH& T;:& +&LI&V&;, a classic on #ass #ove#ents, says, /true %elievers are not intent on
%olstering and advancing a cherished self, %ut are those craving to %e rid of un$anted self! They are follo$ers,
not %ecause of a desire for self-advance#ent, %ut %ecause it can satisfy their passion for self-renunciation7/
Hoffer also says that true %elievers /are eternally inco#plete and eternally insecure/7
I kno$ this fro# #y o$n experience! In #y years of co##unicating concepts and conducting trainings, I have run
into the# again and again! "ll I can do is atte#pt to sho$ the# that the only thing to seek is the True ,elf
$ithin! Their personal ans$ers are to %e found there and there alone! I co##unicate that the %asics of
spirituality are self-responsi%ility and self-actuali.ation!
+ut #ost of the true %elievers *ust tell #e that I'# not spiritual and go looking for so#eone $ho $ill give the#
the dog#a and structure they desire!
ever underesti#ate the potential danger of these people! They can easily %e #olded into fanatics $ho $ill gladly
$ork and die for their holy cause! It is a su%stitute for their lost faith in the#selves and offers the# as a
su%stitute for individual hope! The 5oral 5a*ority is #ade up of true %elievers! "ll cults are co#posed of true
%elievers! 6ou'll find the# in politics, churches, %usinesses, and social cause groups! They are the fanatics in
these organi.ations!
5ass 5ove#ents $ill usually have a charis#atic leader! The follo$ers $ant to convert others to their $ay of
living or i#pose a ne$ $ay of life-if necessary, %y legislating la$s forcing others to their vie$, as evidenced %y
the activities of the 5oral 5a*ority! This #eans enforce#ent %y guns or punish#ent, for that is the %otto#line
in la$ enforce#ent!
" co##on hatred, ene#y, or devil is essential to the success of a #ass #ove#ent! The +orn-"gain Christians
have ,atan hi#self, %ut that isn't enough-they've added the occult, the e$ "ge thinkers and, lately, all those
$ho oppose their integration of church and politics, as evidenced in their political reelection ca#paigns against
those $ho oppose their vie$s! In revolutions, the devil is usually the ruling po$er or aristocracy! ,o#e hu#an-
potential #ove#ents are far too clever to ask their graduates to *oin anything, thus la%eling the#selves as a
cult-%ut, if you look closely, you'll find that their devil is anyone and everyone $ho hasn't taken their training!
There are #ass #ove#ents $ithout devils %ut they seldo# attain #a*or status! The True +elievers are #entally
un%alanced or insecure people, or those $ithout hope or friends! People don't look for allies $hen they love, %ut
they do $hen they hate or %eco#e o%sessed $ith a cause! "nd those $ho desire a ne$ life and a ne$ order feel
the old $ays #ust %e eli#inated %efore the ne$ order can %e %uilt!

Persuasion Techniques
Persuasion isn't technically %rain$ashing %ut it is the #anipulation of the hu#an #ind %y another individual,
$ithout the #anipulated party %eing a$are $hat caused his opinion shift! I only have ti#e to very %asically
introduce you to a fe$ of the thousands of techni(ues in use today, %ut the %asis of persuasion is al$ays to
access your ;IAHT +;"I! The left half of your %rain is analytical and rational! The right side is creative and
i#aginative! That is overly si#plified %ut it #akes #y point! ,o, the idea is to distract the left %rain and keep it
%usy! Ideally, the persuader generates an eyes-open altered state of consciousness, causing you to shift fro#
%eta a$areness into alpha) this can %e #easured on an &&A #achine!
9irst, let #e give you an exa#ple of distracting the left %rain! Politicians use these po$erful techni(ues all the
ti#e) la$yers use #any variations $hich, I've %een told, they call /tightening the noose!/
"ssu#e for a #o#ent that you are $atching a politician give a speech! 9irst, he #ight generate $hat is called a
/6&, ,&T!/ These are state#ents that $ill cause listeners to agree) they #ight even unkno$ingly nod their heads
in agree#ent! ext co#e the T;:I,5,! These are usually facts that could %e de%ated %ut, once the politician
has his audience agreeing, the odds are in the politician's favor that the audience $on't stop to think for
the#selves, thus continuing to agree! Last co#es the ,:AA&,TI8! This is $hat the politician $ants you to do
and, since you have %een agreeing all along, you could %e persuaded to accept the suggestion!
$ibrato
This leads to the #ention of VI+;"T8! Vi%rato is the tre#ulous effect i#parted in so#e vocal or instru#ental
#usic, and the cyle-per-second range causes people to go into an altered state of consciousness! "t one period of
&nglish history, singers $hose voices contained pronounced vi%rato $ere not allo$ed to perfor# pu%licly %ecause
listeners $ould go into an altered state and have fantasies, often sexual in nature!
People $ho attend opera or en*oy listening to singers like 5ario Lan.a are fa#iliar $ith this altered state induced

The &ediu' for &ass Takeoer
The #ore $e find out a%out ho$ hu#an %eings $ork through today's highly advanced technological research, the
#ore $e learn to control hu#an %eings! "nd $hat pro%a%ly scares #e the #ost is that the #ediu# for takeover is
already in place7 The television set in your living roo# and %edroo# is doing a lot #ore than *ust entertaining you!
+efore I continue, let #e point out so#ething else a%out an altered state of consciousness! When you go into an
altered state, you transfer into right %rain, $hich results in the internal release of the %ody's o$n opiates-
enkephalins and +eta-endorphins, che#ically al#ost identical to opiu#! In other $ords, it feels good and you $ant
to co#e %ack for #ore!
;ecent tests %y researcher Her%ert Irug#an sho$ed that, $hile vie$ers $ere $atching TV, right-%rain activity
outnu#%ered left-%rain activity %y a ratio of t$o to one! Put #ore si#ply, the vie$ers $ere in an altered state in
trance #ore often than not! They $ere getting their +eta-endorphin /fix!/
To #easure attention spans, psycho physiologist Tho#as 5ulholland of the Veterans Hospital in +edford,
5assachusetts, attached young vie$ers to an &&A #achine that $as $ired to shut the TV set off $henever the
children's %rains produced a #a*ority of alpha $aves! "lthough the children $ere told to concentrate, only a fe$
could keep the set on for #ore than 3= seconds7
5ost vie$ers are already hypnoti.ed! To deepen the trance is easy! 8ne si#ple $ay is to place a %lank, %lack
fra#e every 3C fra#es in the fil# that is %eing pro*ected! This creates a B4-%eat-per-#inute pulsation
perceived only %y the su%conscious #ind-the ideal pace to generate deep hypnosis!
The co##ercials or suggestions presented follo$ing this alpha-inducing %roadcast are #uch #ore likely to %e
accepted %y the vie$er! The high percentage of the vie$ing audience that has so#na#%ulistic-depth a%ility could
very $ell accept the suggestions as co##ands-as long as those co##ands did not ask the vie$er to do so#ething
contrary to his #orals, religion, or self-preservation!
The #ediu# for takeover is here! +y the age of 1F, children have spent 1=,=== to 14,=== hours $atching
television-that is #ore ti#e than they spend in school7 In the average ho#e, the TV set is on for six hours and BB
#inutes per day-an increase of nine #inutes fro# last year and three ti#es the average rate of increase during
the 1<2=s!
It o%viously isn't getting %etter $e are rapidly #oving into an alpha-level $orld-very possi%ly the 8r$ellian $orld
of /1<HB/-placid, glassy-eyed, and responding o%ediently to instructions!
" research pro*ect %y 0aco% 0aco%y, a Purdue :niversity psychologist, found that of C,2== people tested, <=
percent #isunderstood even such si#ple vie$ing fare as co##ercials and /+arna%y 0ones!/ 8nly #inutes after
$atching, the typical vie$er #issed C3 to 3F percent of the (uestions a%out $hat he or she had seen! 8f course
they did-they $ere going in and out of trance7 If you go into a deep trance, you #ust %e instructed to re#e#%er-
other$ise you auto#atically forget!
I have *ust touched the tip of the ice%erg! When you start to co#%ine su%li#inal #essages %ehind the #usic,
su%li#inal visuals pro*ected on the screen, hypnotically produced visual effects, sustained #usical %eats at a
trance-inducing pace you have extre#ely effective %rain$ashing! &very hour that you spend $atching the TV set
you %eco#e #ore conditioned! "nd, in case you thought there $as a la$ against any of these things, guess again!
There isn't7 There are a lot of po$erful people $ho o%viously prefer things exactly the $ay they are!!
