1Sam 10:5 After that you will go to Gibeah of God, where there is a Philistine outpost. As you approach
the town, you will meet a procession of prophets coming down from the high place with lyres, timbrels,
pipes and harps being played before them, and they will be prophesying.
6
The Spirit of the LORD will
come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a
different person.
The children of Israel followed the cloud
Numbers 9:15-23 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the
tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the
appearance of fire, until the morning. So it was always: the cloud covered it by day and the appearance of
fire by night. And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle; then after that the children of Israel
journeyed and the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents. At the
commandment of the Lord the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the Lord they
pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents. And when the cloud
tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, the children of Israel kept the charges of the Lord and
journeyed not. And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was
taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken
up, they journeyed. Or whether it was two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the
tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not; but when it
was taken up, they journeyed. At the commandment of the Lord they rested in the tents, and at the
commandment of the Lord, they journeyed: they kept the charge of the Lord, at the commandment of the
Lord, by the hand of Moses.

Jesus spoke of Gods glory
John 17:20 My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their
message,
21
that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they
also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
22
I have given them the glory
that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one
23
I in them and you in meso that they may
be brought to complete unity.
Satans counterfeit for the glory is:
Hype and charisma
Focus on great sounding worship instead of hosting Gods presence
Entertainment instead of the joy of the Lord
Strong drink instead of the infilling of the Holy Spirit
Focus on beautiful buildings and dcor instead of the glory focus (manger and
Asuza)
More concerned with social status and reputation than Gods presence
End-time prophesies
Latter house glory (Hag 2:9), best wine for last (Joel 3:18), and pour out his Spirit
on all flesh (Joel 2:28)
Jesus stated we would share in his glory (John 17)
Isaiah saw the glory on Gods people
o Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises
upon you.
2
See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.
3
Nations will come to your
light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
Where there is unity, there is a flow of anointing and Gods blessing and glory
(Psalm 133)
Following the crowd usually leads to major mistakes
In John 6:15 the crowd was wrong when they wanted to crown Jesus as king before His
appointed time. In John 6:26 the crowd was wrong again when they wanted to follow
Jesus for bread only. In John 19:6 the crowd was terribly wrong when they shouted
"Crucify Him, Crucify Him!" In Acts 14:5 the crowd was wrong when they wanted to
stone Paul. In Luke 4:29 the crowd was wrong when they decided to throw Jesus off the
cliff. In Acts 4:18 the majority was wrong in their attempt to stop the apostles from
preaching in Jesus Name. In Numbers 14 the majority was wrong when they voted not
to go into the promised land because of the giants.
