Women spend 3,276 hours getting ready

Women spend 136 days of their lives getting ready for a night out - enough time for an astronaut
to fly to the moon and back 22 times.

'he time )omen spend putting on make up and getting dressed )orks out at 3,276 hours over
their lifetimes )hile men only devote 1,(*2 hours to looking their best.
% survey of 1,((( )omen also sho)ed that 67 per cent thought that the time spent getting ready
)as actually a chore.
+nly a third of )omen said they en,oyed preening themselves.

make-up and 1- minutes applying nail varnish.
%nd there is evidence of a north south divide. ')o thirds of northern )omen spend an average of
1.6 minutes getting ready compared )ith southerners )ho take 117 minutes to pamper
themselves.
Women in the north also like to go out more )ith 71 per cent saying they go out t)ice on a
)eekend compared )ith .* per cent in the south.
