The present brochure contains the specializatons
oered by the Babes-Bolyai University at undergraduate level
for Admission in 2014.
Further informaton about the admission can be found at
htp://admitere.ubbcluj.ro. Please access from this website
both the general informaton on the admission procedure, and
the informaton on the required specializatons on the facultes
websites. The informaton can be accessed from the main page
menu, at "structure" and then "facultes". For any further
details, respectvely complete informaton on the specializa-
tons, please refer to the admission commitees of the facultes
that provide these specializatons. The number of places
nanced and tuiton places are communicated by the Minis-
try and by the University subsequent to the publicaton of this
informatve brochure.
Any further alteratons of the present material, provided
further regulatons are issued by the Ministry of Natonal
Educaton, respectvely following the authorizaton of new
specializatons, will be promptly communicated via all avail-
able means. The responsibility passes on the Admission com-

For high school graduates, sciences eld(Specializatons: Mathematcs
-Informatcs, Natural Sciences), the admission score is calculated as
follows:
1/3 of the baccalaureate exam grade at Mathematcs or
Informatcs (only for graduates of the Mathematcs Informatcs
specializaton)
2/3 of the writen exam grade obtained at Mathematcs or
Informatcs or the grade obtained at the UBB Math-Informatcs
Competton, organized by the faculty (if the grade is at least 6).
For the other categories of graduates:
The grade of the writen exam at Mathematcs or Informatcs
or the grade obtained at the UBB Math-Informatcs Competton,
organized by the faculty (if the grade is at least 6).
The candidates who obtained outstanding results in specialized school
compettons and Olympiads benet from certain facilitatons (details

Test-type writen exam, and the admission score will be calculated using
the following algorithm:
Writen test will cover the subject mater established for the baccalau-
reate exam for PHYSICS according to MNE regulatons.
Faculty accepts school Olympiads and a range of compettons for
students as a form of partal or total admission, which are available on
the faculty website.
One-hour multple choice test. For the admission exam, candidates
will choose one of the three disciplines: Inorganic Chemistry, Organic
Chemistry or Mathematcs-Algebra. The test subject is elaborated
according to the syllabus for these subjects and can be found at:

score. Afer completon of writen test in Romanian language, candi-
dates will write in maximum 30 minutes an essay in an internatonal
language (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish), marked with
Approved/Rejected.
At specializatons with current number 3 and 4 the criteria is:
Writen test in Hungarian language, allocated tme 90
minutes - calculated as 50% of the admission score
score.
