Risk Management

Our Risk Managers work closely with our
traders and operators from day one, gaining
knowledge from highly experienced and
knowledgeable people in the industry.

Risk Management involves capturing,
maintaining physical and derivative trades in our
reporting systems, assessing the accuracy and
validity of marking these to market, reporting on
position and pricing exposures and profit and
loss, providing commentary and monitoring
pricing exposure, ensuring that hedging is
executed in line with our trading teams
requirements and in line with the Company policy
and mandates. Accuracy, confidence and
exceptional analytical skills are key attributes in
this area of our business.

As our future risk managers develop, the
expectation is that they will be committed to
assisting in the development of new and existing
systems and reports, will liaise confidently with
other departments, and that they will bring flair
and innovation to many areas of the business.



Trading Analytics

Our Trading Analysts support the trading
team through fundamental analysis across
the supply chain.



Trading Analytics involves monitoring and
analyzing the key drivers of commodity markets,
assessing and communicating the impact of new
market developments, managing and pro-active
development of supply-demand models.
Intellectual curiosity and a passion for the
markets are critical factors for success in this

Operations

Our Operators work alongside our traders
from inception of a trade and are responsible
for the management and execution of the
contract.

Working closely with our Chartering team, this
role is integral to the business and requires a
poised approach, dealing with the nomination
and vetting of vessels and securing vessels to
ship our cargoes. The role involves issuing
documentation instructions to our suppliers,
voyage / discharge instructions to the ship broker
and scheduling liftings and deliveries. In
essence, the role is exceptionally hands on and
facilitates the ownership of certain key business
operations.

There is a financial element to this role with
responsibility for issuing documentation, i.e.
letters of credit, bank guarantees and
undertakings so interaction with our Finance
team is imperative and strong reporting skills are
required. It is expected that responsibility will
develop in the forging of successful relationships
with both internal and external counterparties to a
level where our future operations graduates are
integral to the business.



Trade Finance & Accounting

Our Trade Finance Managers and the team
work closely with the traders, operators,
banks and insurance companies from the
beginning to the end of a transaction.

Finance involves maintaining counterpart credit
information, parent/subsidiary relationships,
parent company guarantees, Letters of Credit
limits and fee structures.


In addition the team will review all incoming and
outgoing Letters of Credit and amendments to
ensure that the operators are able to comply with
the contents therein.








Our accounting team is responsible for group and
management reporting. This involves analyzing
trading p/l, financial and operational KPIs. For
this, the accounting team works closely with
traders, risk managers and operators.

Accuracy and confidence are vital attributes
required in this role.
