A patient comes to the hospital with stomachache.

Nurse : Good morning, Maam.

Patient : Good morning, Nurse.
Nurse : What happen to you?
Patient : My stomach is in pain.
Nurse : Since when the pain have been bothering you?
Patient : Last night, Nurse.
Nurse : How about this morning?
Patient : I think its little better than last night.
Nurse : Ok. Have you had breakfast, Maam?
Patient: Yes, I have.
Nurse : Oh, thats good. Before checking your stomachache, I would like to
complete your data. Whats your name?
Patient : My name is Rica Novianita.
Nurse : (While writing the data) What about your age, Maam?
Patient : Im 30.
Nurse : Ok, now lets check your stomachache.

The nurse puts on the stethoscope and place the chestpiece in the patients
abdomen while listening the bowel sounds. After that, nurse does the palpation in
the patients abdomen.

Nurse : Which part of the abdomen that feel the most painful if I press like this?
(doing the palpation)
Patient : I think the left one, Nurse.
Nurse : Ok, then, can you describe the pain?
Patient : It feels like being stabbed by needles.
Nurse : What did you eat for dinner last night?
Patient : I had dinner with spicy fried rice, Nurse.
Nurse : Do you usually eat spicy food before?
Patient : No, I dont. Actually, I dont like spicy food. But, because of the
important meeting and we were served by the spicy fried rice for dinner,
so I had to eat one too.
Nurse : It can be one of the factors which cause your stomachache. Hmm, if I
may know, do you have histories of gastritis or allergy?
Patient : No, I dont.
Nurse : For ascertaining your condition, I will call the doctor first. Please, wait
here a minute.

And then, nurse calls the doctor. After entering the room, doctor checks
condition of patient. Then, after giving the medicine prescription, doctor goes out
of the room.

Nurse : According to the doctors examination, your gastric cant hold the spicy
food. So, you can reduce or avoid the consumption of spicy food in order
to avoid the possibilities that are not desirable. And then, dont forget to
consume the medicine which prescribed by doctor. If your stomachache
relapse or there is another complaint, you can come to the hospital
immediately.
Patient : Yes, nurse. I will remember that. Thank you for everything.
Nurse : Youre welcome.
