REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION
Before registration you would need the following
o Date of birth as per High School Certificate
o Aggregate marks of all the subjects
o Active Mobile number where information can be communicated through SMS
Candidates have to provide two active mobile number where they can be contacted if needed.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION FORM SUBMISSION
The following would be required
o Local address
o Permanent address
o Active Email ID (DO NOT USE rediffmail).
o Scanned photo and signature
o Scanned copy of final year mark sheet of final year of qualifying examination
o Mark sheet of qualifying examination for entering marks obtained of all the subjects and each year
of the last attended institution.
o Mark sheet of intermediate or equivalent examination for entering maximum marks and marks
obtained of all the subjects.
o Mark sheet of High school examination for entering the roll number, board and aggregate marks.
o Caste Certificate ID number (for OBC, SC & ST)
The ID number of caste certificate issued by the competent authority will have to be
entered for availing the benefit of reservation for OBC, SC and ST candidates.
For OBC candidates this certificate should be issued on or after July 1, 2010.
Validity of these certificates will be verified from the U.P. Government website
o Income Certificate ID number for Zero Fee (if applicable)
Candidates whose family income is less than or equal to Rs. 200000.00 per annum should
have proper income e-certificate issued on or after January 1, 2014.
It is mandatory for candidates seeking this benefit to enter the ID number of the
e-certificates at the time of filling of the form.
All certificates will be verified through the Government website. Certificates
whose details are not available on this website will not be considered for zero fee
benefit.

General Instructions for Admission
IMPORTANT GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
The complete application process (application fee deposition and final Application form submission) has to
be completed within 6 days of registration.
Application fee can be deposited only after 12:00 noon of the next working day after registration.
Filling of online application form can be done only after 12:00 noon the day after deposition of the
application fee at the bank.
SUB CATEGORY VERIFICATION
Candidates who have claimed any benefit under the following sub categories have to be present personally
before the committee at the Botany Department, Old Building, University of Lucknow (old campus),
Lucknow between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM with all original documents (with self attested copy of the same)
within four working days of submitting the online application form
o University Employee ward (UE)
o College Teacher Ward (CT)
o Dependent of Freedom Fighter (FF)
o outstanding sportsperson (OS)
o physically handicapped (PH)
o Defense Personnel (EX)
o NCC C certificate holder (NCC B where the qualifying examination is intermediate)
Candidates who have claimed weightage or reservation under these categories but do not
turn up before the committee for verification will be denied the benefit claimed. They
would have no claim on these benefits what so ever later on.
MARKS VERIFICATION
The eligibility marks of all candidates would be verified before releasing the merit lists
Those candidates whose certificates details/mark sheets cannot be verified online would have to report the
the Chemistry Department for verification of documents. Such candidates would be informed through SMS.
o Such candidates can get their documents physically verified in person at the Department of Botany
Department, Old Building, University of Lucknow between 11 AM and 2 PM on all working days
before the final admission process.

A candidate will be eligible for Admission to Postgraduate Courses if he/she has completed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. with
10+2+3 system from any University recognized by University Grants Commission and has secured a minimum 45%
of marks at graduate level. However for SC/ST candidates minimum pass percentage of marks will be 40%. For
admission to LL.M. the minimum requirement is 50%(48% for SC/ST) in LL.B. examination.

For the remaining 20% seats graduates from the Universities other than Lucknow University shall be admitted,
provided that the merit of the candidates of other Universities is not below the merit of the last candidate admitted
from Lucknow University. The seats remaining vacant under category (6), shall also be filled up with the graduate of
Lucknow University in order of merit index. The candidate who after passing his/her LL.B. examination from the
other University, has been pursuing any other course in Lucknow University shall not be treated as graduate of
Lucknow University for admission in LL.M.

Post Graduate Eligibility
In case where number of available seats is less and candidates secure same marks (percent) at the
graduate/qualifying level examination, the admission of the candidate will be based upon securing higher marks in
the relevant subject of the final year of the qualifying examination.

In the Faculty of Arts the requirement of subject of study at graduate level for admission to various subjects (except
Mathematics and Statistics) shall stand waived off in case of candidate having obtained 55% or more marks at
qualifying examination. Admission of such candidates in any subject shall not exceed 10% of the total number of
seats. The graduate of the Faculty of Arts will be eligible for admission to M.A. I in Mathematics and Statistics.
Science Graduates shall not be eligible for admission to M.A. I in Mathematics and Statistics.

Part II Examination from other Universities, their merit shall be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the BA
part III/qualifying examination of Lucknow University.

that program will not be done for this academic year In this situation the Application Fees will not be refunded.

Gap Certificate: If there is gap in taking admission after graduation/qualifying examination, then a
certificate by the Notary on Rs. 10.00 Stamp paper, has to be submitted at the time of admission.

Note 2. For getting sports and handicapped weightage / reservation, candidate will have to be present before
the sports/medical board. The candidate, who does not appear before these boards, will not be provided the
sports and handicapped weightage / reservation for admission and his/her admission form will be considered as
of general category.
