Introducing Myself And My Family Background:

Good morning dear faculty members! Thank you for your time this morning! Today i stood up here to
tell a few words about myself , my family background, my academics qualification and on my research
works. I would first like to introduce myself and my family background first and then I move one to my
academics. Hello! My name is BHANUPARTAP Sharma. I am from Jammu and Kashmir. I am 26 year old. I
have 4 members in my family. The first member is my father Radha Krishan Sharma. He is a retired
deputy controller from legal metrology departments of state government. The second one is my mother
Subash Rani. She is a working lady working in Jammu Municipal Corporation as a revenue officer. The
third one is me and then my younger sister kirti Sharma. She is in final year of MCA from Jammu
University.
My academics qualification:
I have done my senior secondary examination from JKBOSE in 2004 securing 85.6%
Then I do my higher secondary examination from JKBOSE in 2006 securing 79.4%
Then I qualified JKCET and got admission through Jammu University in MIET in the department of
electronics and communication engineering in 2006.
I got qualified my bachelor of engineering degree in 2010 securing 72.3%
Then I prepared for gate examination and qualified it in 2011 securing 91.34 percentile and joined Shri
Mata Vaishno Devi University in 2011 in the electronics and communication department.
Qualified my Masters degree securing 8.33 CGPA
Research work:
I started my research work acquiring knowledge about wireless sensor network and working with sensor
motes.
What challenges we face in working with the sensor nodes, what are its hardware and network
constraint. What are the factors affecting the WSN design. What are its advantages of WSN?

the title of my Mtech research work is Novel Methodology for Actor-Actor Communication &
Coordination for Overlapped Action Areas in Wireless Sensor & Actuator Networks under the Under
the supervision of Sumeet Gupta.
Motivation of the research work:
Communication and coordination between the sensors.
Energy and other resource consideration.
Clustering and scheduling process in sensor nodes.
Long distance communication.
Coordination between actuators in overlapped region of action.
Problem statement of research work:
The prime challenge is the effective communication and coordination between the sensor
nodes, between sensor nodes and actuators and between the actuator nodes.
Increased throughput.
Decreased latency rate.
Mitigating the effect of congestion.
Energy consideration.
Effective and efficient decision making process of actuators in overlapped region of action.
Research work methodology:
Effective communication and coordination between sensor nodes:
The main issue in the sensor nodes is the energy constraint that will leads to trade-off between life time
and accuracy of the sensors nodes. The main reasons for the energy depletion are:
Long distance communication and direct communication with base station.
Actively high duty cycle.
Collision of the data packets and retransmission.
Data aggregation and fusion process.
Redundant and highly correlated data in aggregation process.
Balancing the energy-exhausting load among all nodes.
In order to counteract these entire related problem we modified the existing clustering algorithm i.e.
LEACH. The probability of the cluster head selection depends upon following factors:
Implementing the basic leach protocol and selection (n) numbers of initial cluster heads.
Then calculating the residual energy of the selected initial cluster head.
Calculating the distance between sensor nodes and the selected cluster head.
Calculating the distance between base station and the selected cluster head.
Then finding the max probability of the node for becoming the cluster head.
Aggregation and fusion of sensor data in the cluster head.
Effective communication and coordination between sensor node and the actuator nodes and control
action of the actuator nodes in the overlapped region of action:
Overlapped area coverage.
Coordinating each other task based on preference of each zone or based on user preferences.
Optimally controlling the actuation of each actuator.
Implying a decision control algorithm that controls and coordinate the actuation task of each
actuator.
Based on these problems we use linear programming simplex method for allocating the resources in an
optimal way.
All the cluster head send their aggregated data to the base station while the preference level of each
zone is also send along with the aggregated data.
The base station forms a combined weight matrix and performs the optimization using linear
programming simplex method based on preference level of the user.

Future works:
Building automation by automatically controlling the light, room temperature, humidity and
moisture in the room according to the preference of user.
In future we try to develop an automatic controller that is attached with the light bulbs and air
conditioners that control their actuation based on the user preferences.
In future we try to consider the outside condition like daylight concept, outside room
condition to adjust the inside temp humidity and moisture with changing environment.
In future we try to use the work in industrial and factories automation where light and air flow is
controlled with the movements of the users like in coal mines where we have to wisely control
the intake of air in mines and lighting conditions inside the mines.
It is also used in large stadiums, auditorium, big shopping malls where the lighting, humidity
and temperature condition is different in different parts.
In future we try to use the scenario in distributed approach.
