Golden cross of moving
Averages Strategy

General:
The golden cross is a strategy that is based on moving averages in the volatile hours of
trading session with best value during the London and New York sessions.
The moving averages strategy in its simple form is working based on a cross of the two
moving averages, when the fast moving average is closing the slower one, then you take
the trade.

There are many version of using the moving averages in a profitable way and we will show
how to maximize your profits while minimizing your risk.
The logic behind the strategy is that during the volatile hours the market behaves in its
optimum while moving according to the sentiment in its full strength. During those hours we
are using a simple strategy with 5 special moving averages to show clear crossing with
more reliability.
The Rules
We are using Exponential Moving Averages (EMA)
The EMAs values are 10, 20, 30 and Fibonacci values 144, 169
First Entrance with MA 10 crossing both long term EMAs
Second entrance is the main trade- after a correction together with crossing of the
20, 30 EMAs
Target depends on the chart type

Intraday Shark strategy

General:
The Shark Strategy is based on the Asian range before the beginning of the London
session.
The logic behind the strategy shows that while the Asian session is very slow and has lack of
volatility, the start of the London session brings big amounts of money to the market, which
takes the direction for the beginning of the session.
So now we have to know how to use this boost of volatility in our favor.
Here we show how you can make your share of the London session opening in a profitable
method with good money management.

How to use the Shark strategy?
The Shark strategy based on the Asian Range for the GBP/USD pair only.

Work on 5 minutes chart.
The Asian Range is happening between 02:00-06:00 AM GMT+0 (winter time) or GMT+1
(summer time).

Mark the mentioned hours by a straight vertical lines and marking the peaks and lows of
the range with horizontal lines - we suppose to get a shape that looks like a Box.

Mark the hour 08:00 with another vertical line and we have another box which is the false
alarm box, so we will neglect hours 06:00-08:00 from our strategy.
Use buy limit on the peak and sell limit on the low of the box at 07:59.
Take profit at 150% of the box size and stop loss on.

Example 1



We can see that the Asian range was in size of 13 pips, limits were used at 07:59 to buy at
the price of 1.56649 and sell at the price of 1.56516.
The price has crossed the Buy limit order and took the buy position.
At this point we set Take profit at 1.5 * 13= 20 pips and Stop loss on the lower lip of the
box/range.
The price has reached the take profit after 5 minutes.

Example 2


We can see that the Asian range was in size of 20 pips, limits were used at 07:59 to buy at
the price of 1.56869 and sell at the price of 1.56662.
The price has crossed the Buy limit order and took the buy position.
At this point we set Take profit at 1.5 * 20= 30 pips and Stop loss on the lower lip of the
box/range.
The price has reached the take profit.
