Theresa McCarty People, she's only 53! She's not ready to be put out to pasture yet.
There are lots of great roles for older ladies that she is reaching the perfect age for.
Besides, virtually no one (except a naive, young Callas) can sing Isolde when they are very
young. It is too taxing for most sopranos in their thirties and sometimes in their forties.

One of my biggest regrets is that I never got to see the old Met. It was a
crime that it was demolished.
