THE YORKSHIRE POST reports that a local women found dead in Keyingham
yesterday is Hedon opera singer Amy Black. The 36 year old mezzosoprano who Hedon Media
started in the choir at St Augustine’s Church had gained international fame for her
Red Cross Charity Shop
singing.
Sirius Enterprise Agency
This is a tragic loss to the world of classical music and to the town of Hedon.
Condolences are sent to family and friends.

AS THE TOWN gets ready for the big
Christmas lights switch on festivities this
Friday 27th Nov 2009 then motorists should
be aware that road closures will be in
operation on that day between 5:00pm and
9:30pm. St Augustine’s Gate, George Street
and Market Place will be closed, with Market
Place being conedoff from 2pm.
The No. 277 bus will divert its service from
4:30pm avoiding the streets above from Hedon to Preston via Fletchergate, New Road
and Hull Road to Saltend Roundabout, and then via Staithes Road to Preston, before
returning to its normal route.

Blog meeting takes place on Tuesday
night (24th November 2009) from 6pm
– 7pm in the bar at the Station pub at
63 – 67 Soutergate.
The meeting will be an opportunity to
find out a bit more about the Blog and
what issues it might take up in the
town – and how Hedon folk (and those
living in the HU12 postcode area) can
get involved. One campaign starting on
1st December is the Hedon Wish List.
