Programme Director Dear Sir/Madam: Programme on Evaluation of Training January 6-8, 2014 Continuous training and development of managers/employees is being increasingly recognized as a key factor for any Organization to successfully triumph over the competitive and technological challenges of the present day business environment. At the same time, the people associated with trainings and responsible for Organizational Development are severely handicapped by the absence of either evaluation system or tools to evaluate the results of the training programmes they organize. When Organizations pay considerable focus on evaluating the learning outcomes as a part of their training process, it helps them in bringing necessary improvements/changes and meaningfully linking the training process to the Organizational success. Keeping this in view, this programme has been designed to greatly help all personnel managers, training managers, faculty of the staff colleges in monitoring the efficiency and the effectiveness of the training programmes they organize or conduct. A copy of the Programme brochure, which explains the objectives and contents of the programme, is enclosed for your kind perusal. If any additional information about the programme is required, please feel free to contact us. The last date for the receipt of nominations is December 27, 2013. Since we expect this programme to attract a large number of nominations, we suggest you to send in your nominations well before this date. It is used by organizations to facilitate employees' learning of job-related competencies and to gain a competitive advantage in the rapidly changing business world. Thus; Trainings make valuable contribution to Organizational Effectiveness. As Trainings facilitate the development of intellectual abilities and skills of the people to increase the Organizational competitiveness and effectiveness, more time and money are invested in training programmes. Organizations administering the training programs are not only accountable for what employees learn, but also for ensuring that employees transfer their knowledge to their work performance. When evaluation of training is rarely done, companies are not able to gauge if employees have actually learned the concepts presented, changed their behavior on the job or even improved the organisation's customer satisfaction benchmarks. When Organizations pay considerable focus on evaluating the learning outcomes as a part of their training process, it helps them in bringing necessary improvements/changes and meaningfully linking the training process to the Organizational success.
