In 2010, the highest yield for educational attainment for household

population five years old and over was high school at 36.6 percent,
higher by 12.7 percent compared to 2000. There were more females
in 2010 with academic degrees and post baccalaureate with 54.8
percent and 52.2 percent respectively. Compared to 2000, only the
academic degree holders in both sexes recorded more than twice its
population count with an increase of 123.8 or equivalent to 140,317
were added.

Attainment
A decline of 3.8 percent or equivalent to 1,541 establishments were
recorded in Manila in 2012. Only the employment size 0 has decreased
in number by 6.2 percent or equivalent to 1,801 establishments while the
rest has increased. By employment grouping, 87.3 percent or 33,972
were under micro establishments (with employment of 1 to 9) in 2012.
A decrease of 30.8 percent in the number of
approved building permits in Manila or
equivalent to 97 was registered from 4th
quarter of 2012 to the same quarter of 2013.
The value of construction likewise decreased
by 86.7 percent or equivalent to P3.9 billion.
