Kyong Hee Cho – Made her first public performance with the Seoul
Symphony Orchestra at age 11. After winning major nationwide piano
competitions in Korea, she graduated from the Manhattan School of Music with
a B.M. and M.M. in piano performance. In recent years Kyong Hee has used
her talents to perform in numerous charity concerts, both locally and in New
York and California. She teaches piano at her private studio here in Wilton.
Moira Shur Craw - Holds a degree in flute performance from Michigan State
University. She set out to play flute both as a soloist and with chamber music
ensembles, and to teach piano, woodwind and brass instruments. She is a
member of the Manhattan Recorder Orchestra in New York. An exceptional
flutist, she teaches out of her music studio on Westport Road. Check out her
website for more details www.moiracraw@optonline.net
Betsey de Groff – Brings many years of choral experience and has conducted
festival choirs in New England, Florida, Wisconsin, and California. She has
served as a clinician/adjudicator for many state and regional festivals, and at
competitions for Music Maestro Please Inc. in New England, Canada, and
California. Her peers in Maine voted her "Outstanding Choral Director of the
Year" in 1998. She is an accomplished singer and private voice teacher.
Kelly Kesler – Has been performing since she was a child. While living in
Virginia, Kelly played the role of Ann in Cheaper by the Dozen, Miss Audubon
in Our Miss Brooks, and Virtue in Anything Goes. Since moving to Wilton, she
has performed in Guys and Dolls, One Flew over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Brigadoon
and Our Town. Kelly had the lead role of Fiona in last spring’s production of
Brigadoon. She plans to study acting or musical theatre in college next year.
Annbeth Magee Lattimer – Has lived in Wilton since 1991 when husband
Rob and she were purchased by a pig barn/house. Since its renovation, the
barn has become home to Annbeth’s music school and her twins, Megan (a
member of the WHS Madrigals) and Tim, both of whom are juniors at
WHS. She has happily performed with the Wilton Singers in this concert for
many years and appreciates the sense of community spirit which it inspires.
Sarah Michaels – Has professional credits that include the USO/Bob Hope
tour to the Orient, and national tours of Ziegfeld and Will Rogers Follies. She
has starred in regional and local productions including Evita, Jesus Christ
Superstar, Cabaret, and A Chorus Line. She was most recently seen in Pippin
at the Wilton Playshop. Sarah is a graduate of Salem College and NCSA, is a
vocal coach and voice teacher, and leads workshops in musical theater voice.
Jane Powell – Has performed for five U.S. Presidents and the Queen of
England. With starring roles in 20 major MGM musicals, including the classics
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Royal Wedding co-starring Fred Astaire,
she has appeared in every entertainment medium. On Broadway, she starred
in Irene. On tour, she broke house records in more than a score of American
cities, with starring roles in South Pacific, My Fair Lady, Peter Pan, The Sound
of Music, Carousel, Brigadoon, The Boy Friend, Oklahoma!, The Student
Prince, I Do, I Do, and many others. In the heyday of live radio comedy series,
she played Charlie McCarthy’s girlfriend, and hosted Frank Sinatra’s weekly
radio show in his absence. In October 2008, she was honored by the U.S.
Department of Veterans Affairs with the Secretary’s Diamond Award for her
“legacy of service to military personnel and veterans.” The Diamond Award is
the VA’s highest honor to private citizens for helping the Department carry out
its mission. She lives in Wilton with her husband Richard Moore.
Eugenie Rocherolle – Is a former, longtime Wilton resident. She began a
publishing career in choral and band music after graduating from Newcomb
College of Tulane University. She has composed over 80 collections of piano
repertoire, distributed internationally. Performances include the Terrace
Theater in the Kennedy Center, and among her awards and commissions are
works for solo and duo piano, church choir, chamber ensembles and chorus
and orchestra. She and her husband now reside in Old Lyme, CT
Patrick Taylor – Was named Music Director for the Wilton Singers this past
month. He is currently director of choirs at Greenwich High School where he
was recipient of the Distinguished Teacher Award in 2005. Prior to GHS he
held a similar position for 10 years at Wilton High School. This December
Patrick will once again be a guest conductor at the annual Messiah Sing-in at
Avery Fisher Hall. He graduated magna cum laude from the Hartt School of
Music and earned an M.A. in conducting from Eastman.
Wilton Singers – Have been making music since 1983. Along the way, they
have awarded over $50,000 in scholarships to WHS choral students, and have
delighted their audiences with a varied repertoire encompassing show tunes,
classical, jazz, and popular music. The Singers come from different professions
and musical backgrounds, and span an age-range of over 60 years. But all
have in common the bonds of friendship and their love of choral music. For
