Photo Design
Program Used: Photoshop
Date:May 25, 2014
Course: Visual Media section 3
Instructor: Brother Kerr
Objective: To recieve a basic understanding of photography, color schemes,
and how to properly use Photoshop.
Process: I used Photoshop when creating my design. I used selective color to
help enhance the colors I wanted, and change the colors I didnt want. By using
this tool I was able to keep to my color scheme. I also used the vibrancy tool
to make the colors stronger. From there I used text boxes and the circle tool to
help create my color boxes and quote.
Program Used: Photoshop
Date:May 31, 2014
Course: Visual Media section 3
Instructor: Brother Kerr
Objective: The objective of this project was to learn how to blend two images
together using masks, displaying a greater understanding of Photoshop.
Process: For this project I used Photoshop. I started by opening up different
tabs with my fve different pictures. I then used the lasso tool, and selecting
the portion of the Indian girl that I wanted. I used a feathered edge so that the
difference wouldnt be so stark. I then transported this picture onto my space
picture. I used the adjustment tool and paintbrush to give her a faded blended
look. From there I used the lasso tool again cutting away the part of the space
picture I didnt want so that it would ft into the TV screen. From there I
used the lasso tool again cropping out the man, woman, and TV screen from
its original design and placing it on to my sunfower background. I used the
paintbrush to help fx any little issues throughout the project.

Program Used: Illustrator
Date: June 8, 2014
Course: Visual Media section 3
Instructor: Brother Kerr
Objective: The objective was to create three completely different, original logos
to ft a company of my choice that would be appealing to an audience by only
using Illustrator.
Process: I took an S using the type tool and made it into an object that I could
manipulate. I then used a circle for the head by using the shape tool. I then
created a line and used the anchor tool to make the line bend. From there I used
the pen tool to help create the back feathers and the beak. I used this similar
technique for each of my designs.

Program Used: Photoshop and InDesign
Date: July 13th, 2014
Course: Visual Media section 3
Instructor: Brother Kerr
Objective: To recieve a basic understanding of how to create a two sided
folded document, as well as using quality images in which to text wrap.
Process: I started out in Photoshop where I created my logo. I created my logo
by using the circle tool and the square tool. After making my logo I transferred
it to my brochure. I created a tri-fold brochure by measuring out my paper and
dividing it into three even rectangles. Once I had my spacing correct, I went
back into Photoshop to crop my doughnut photos, and use the lasso tool to
make sure they were perfect for text wrapping. I then wrote up my 250 word
paragraphs which I copied from Word and placed into my Indesign document. I
then created paragraph styles for both the Headers and the paragraphs.

Where It All
Began
Dutch setlers were the frst to bring the
scrumptious dessert to the new world. The
name doughnut came from the treats
original cooking technique. In order to make
sure that the center of the doughnut was
cooked thoroughly, they placed a nut in the
center of the dough. Though doughnuts
were created years before, it wasnt unit
1920 that Adolph Levit created the frst
doughnut machine in New York City. Levits
doughnuts had become so popular that his
fans encouraged him to create a machine to
produce them faster. Soon this sweet fufy
pastry became a household favorite.
Where to Buy the Best

of 200 words.
Process: I started out by creating my logo in Photoshop, and cut it down to
make sure that it was in the perfect position so that it would display centered
when I created my webpage. I then took the CSS and HTML codes that were
provided and added a few changes to them, by changing the color, thickness,
and font size. I also went in and changed the information on the site to
information about my logo instead. I created containers and lists to create a
new format for my webpage. I added a navigation header by going into my
HTML and created a <div

Objective: To recieve a basic understanding of Photoshop, and review the
concept of white space. We were to edit text and use the previously provided
photo, to create an original design.
Process: I chose to redo this project, because my original design had trapped
white space. I started out my project by laying out key concepts that I had
put into my sketches. I wanted to have my fier fow. To create a fow to the
fier I used circles and rectangles. The circles which I created with the shape
tool helped me emphasis important information. I chose to redo this project
because my previous version was very crowded. I had so many ideas going on
at one time, I needed to clean up my design.
