He received Salvation on 24/12/78, and joined Deeper Christian Life Ministries on 26/5/89. He is presently a sanctified and spirit filled District Pastor with the Church.

    BIBLE STUDY NOTES is indeed a very valuable book for all Bible students including those interested in understanding the Bible.

    The Book highlights the most essential verses of every chapter of the 66 Books of the Bible, from GENESIS to REVELATION. It also enhances a quick reference of the most popular Bible verses in every chapter.

    The author Edward Aboderin is a Mechanical Engineer. A 1975 Post Graduate of Middlesex University, London. He subsequently joined SHELL P.D.C. As an Engineer in 1976, and got married in May 1978.He received Salvation on 24/12/1978 and joined DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRIES on 26/5/1989.

    He is presently a Sanctified and Spirit-Filled District Pastor in a DEEPER LIFE BIBLE CHURCH IN LAGOS,NIGERIA.

    The idea to write this Book came to Edward in 2014 while he was recovering in a U S Hospital (from a fatal Vehicle Accident that occurred earlier in Nigeria.Whilst daily reading the Bible and making notes the idea of compiling these notes into a Book for the benefit of others came to him.

    This Book therefore is to help for quick reference of the Bible…Reading and Studying every chapter and every verse of the Bible is still encouraged.

    GENESIS—(READ AND STUDY CHAPS.1-50)

    3. Exo. 12:41 – 600 thousand Israelites left Egypt mix of mixed multitude after 430 years in Egypt.

    4. Exo. 20:3 – 17 – God gave Moses the 10 commandments at Mount Sinai.

    15. Num. 10:29 – Moses invited Hobab son of Raquel the Midianite (Moses’ father in law) to accompany them in journey.

    16. Num. 11:16 – God told Moses to gather 70 Elders to bring to the Terbanacle to bless them and share burden of running with them.

    17. Num. 11:25 The Holy Spirit rested on the 70 elders the 2 Eldad plus Medab who stayed in the camp and all 70 prophesied.

    18. Num. 11:28 – Joshua son of Nun, servant of Moses name first mentioned.

    19. Num. 12:1 – Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of his Ethiopians wife.

    20. Num. 12:10 –Miriam became leprous and she was shut out of the camp for 7 days whilst the people waited from journey.

    21. Num. 13:3 – Moses sent 12 men (one from each tribe) including Joshua and Caleb((except the Levi) to spy on the land of Canaan.

    22. Num. 13:8 –(Oshea Jehosua), Joshua son of Nun of the tribe of Ephraim and Caleb son of Jephunneh of Judah’s tribe. They returned after 40 days search.

    23. Num. 13:29 – The 10 spoke – scared of Amalekites, Hittites, Jebusites, Amorites and all children of Anak there.

    24. Num 13:30 – Caleb assured Moses –We are well able to possess and overcome.

    25. Num. 14:8 – Joshua and Caleb assured them.

    26. Num. 14:23, 29 – God commanded only Caleb plus Joshua will reach Canaan. All from 40 years and above will die in the wilderness.

    27. Num. 14:33 – God commanded they will wander in the wilderness for 40 years (i.e 40 days of sending to spy Canaan) for breach of promise.

    28. Num. 16:1 – KORAH, (son of Levi) DANTHAN and ABIRAM (sons of Rueben) rebelled against Moses and Aaron. The 3 + 250 men were swallowed alive + 14,700 later died of plague.

    29. Num. 17:8 – The budding of Aaron’s rod.

    30. Num. 18:20 – Aaron and his children shall have no inheritance of Land, the Lord is their inheritance.

    31. Num. 20:1 Miriam died and was buried in Kadesh

    WATER FROM THE ROCK OF MERIBAH

    32. Num. 20:8 – God told Moses to speak to the rock for water to come out for drink.

    33. Num. 20:11 – But Moses smote the rock 2x and water came out abundantly.

    34. Num. 20:12 – God spoke to Moses + Aaron that because they believed Him not to sanctify Him in the eyes of the Israelites therefore they shall not bring the Israelite to Canaan.

    Num. 20:18 – At Kadesh Moses requested to pass through Edom (land of Esau’s children) but they refused (40th years after Egypt

    Num. 21:25 – Death of Aaron at Mount Hor.Aaron handed over his garments to Eleazar his son and died.

    Fiery Serpent bites

    35. Num. 21:6 – God sent fiery serpents killed many

    36. Num. 21:9 – Moses made fiery serpent of brass on a pole. If serpent bites any man that beheld the brass, he lives.

    37. Num. 22:13 – Belak and Balaam both descendents of Esau wanted to gang up against Israel.

    38. Num. 22:30 – Balaam Ass spoke against joining Belak to fight Israel. (Balaam king of Moab)

    Balaam’s Parables

    39. Num. 23:19 – God is not a man that He should lie, neither the son of man that he should repent,hath he said and shall he no do it?or hath he spoken and shall he not make it good?

    40. Num. 23:20 – I have received commandment to bless and he hath blessed and I cannot reverse it.

    Phinehas killing of Israelite with the Midi

    41. Num. 25:7 – Phinehas son of Eleazar son of Aaron, killing stopped the plague where 24,000 died. His name is Zimi from Simeon the Israel 2nd census.

    42. Num. 26-Israel numbered again by Moses according to God’s command

    Reuben - 43,730

    Levi – 23,000 all males because they were not numbered among the children of Israel for no inheritance was given to them.

    44. Num. 26:65 – Of the above 601,730, only Caleb (son of Jephennth of the tribe of Judah and Joshua son of Num from Ephraim) where among the first censes.

    45. Num. 27:7 – Moses gave the 5 daughters of Zelophehad (son of Manaseh their inheritance because he had no son

    46. Num. 27:18 – God told Moses to lay hands on Joshua for hand over.

    47. Num. 30:13 – Laws about Vows

    Every vow of a woman or binding oath her husband may establish it or make it void. But if she is not married her father will.

    Land East of Jordan near Jericho

    48. Num. 32:5 – Children of Reuben and Gad repented to be given Gilead and not to cross over to Jordan for good for their cattle.

    49. They promise to leave their wives, little ones and go to war but return after Israel had completed captive.

    50. Num. 32:33 – Moses gave Reuben + Gad and half Manaseh – Gilead Land (East of Jordan) (for inheritance).

    51. Num. 33:38 – 40 years after depart Egypt, Aaron died at Mount Hor (120 years old).

    Cities of Refuge

    52. Num. 35:6 – 6 cities among the section for the Levi. They shall be 6 cities of Refuge for manslayers where the murderer can remain until the death of the high priest.

    53. Num. 36:6 – The 5 daughters of Zelophehad shall only marry from family of Manaseh their father’s tribe.

    54. Num. 36:8 – Every daughter that possession the inheritance will marry from father tribe.

    DEUTERONOMY—(READ AND STUDY CHAPS.1—34)

    1. Deu. 4:43 – City of Refuge

    Moses chose 3 cities and of the area of Gilead given to Reuben + Gad + half Manaseh as city of Refuge.

    2. Deu. 5:7 – 12 - The 10 commandment

    5. Deu. 10:19 – Not to forsake the Levites as long as thou liveth.

    6. Deu. 12:23 – They shall not eat blood with flesh.

    Warning against idolatry

    7. Deu.12:31 – Israel forbidden to sacrifice their children to god by burning with fire like the Cannanites.

    • Any Animal that parteth not the hoof and cheweth not the cod is unclean and not edible.

    10. Deut. 15:1 – The Sabbath year of Increase

    At the end of every 7 years, thou shall make a release.

    11. —Deut. 15:12 – Hebrew slaves to be set free after 7 years of serving..

    1. Feast of unleavened bread

    2. Feast of weeks and

    3. Feast of Terbanacles

    Taking of Gifts

    13. Deut. 16:19 – Not to take gift because it doth blind the eyes of the wise and pervert the words of the righteous.

    14. Deut. 17:1 – Not to sacrifice Animals with blemish

    • Thou shall not sacrifice unto the Lord thy God any bullock or sheep wherein is blemish or any evil favouredness for that is an abomination unto the Lord thy God.

    15. .-Deut. 19:4 – The slayer who killed by mistake shall be allowed to flee unto one of the 3 cities and live.

    - But if he shed innocent blood then be shall die.

    16. .—Deut. 19:15 – In the mouth of 2 witnesses the truth shall be established.

    17. .Deut. 21:15—Law against hated wife’s son

    • The son of the hated wife shall be made to have due inheritance.

    Law against stubborn son

    18. .-Deut. 21:18 – The stubborn son shall be reported to the elders and stoned to death.

    Law against leaving a hanged man overnight

    19. .-Deut. 21:23 – His body shall be buried on the same day of hanging before night - Accursed is every man that hanged on the tree.

    Law against dressing man:woman

    20. .-Deut. 22:5 – The woman shall not wear man’s dress:vise versa because doing that is abomination.

    Laws against sexual conduct.

    21. .-Deut. 22:13 -30 – For rape only the man shall be stoned to death.

    22. .-Deut. 23:1—-Persons to be excluded from service:

    1)—He that is wounded.

    2)—He that has his private cut off.

    3)—A bastard even to his tenth generation.

    4)—A Moabite, An Ammonite.

    23. .- Deut. 23:7–Not to abhor an Egyptian or an Edomite (descendant of Esau).Edomite children shall enter into the congregation of the Lord at their third generation.

    24. .-Deut. 23:20–Thou can lend with usery to a stanger but not to thy Brother.

    Payment of Vows and Offering:

    25. .-Deut.23:21—Thou shall not be slack in redeeming a vow to the Lord

    —But if thou shall forebear the vow,it is no sin.

    —Even Freewill Offering promised by nmouth

    26. -Deut. 24:16—The fathers shall not be put to death for the children or vice versa. Every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

    Blessings of Obedience:

    28. — Deut. 28:2 – 14 (12 Blessings).

    The curses of Disobedience

    29. --Deut. 28:16 – 68 (52 Curses).

    30. — Deut. 29:7 – The king of Og was killed and their land given to Reubenmite, Gadites + half Manasseh.

    Moses Appointment of Joshua

    31. —Deut. 31:3 – Moses said he is 120 years old and cannot go in and out as before, that Joshua will lead the children of Israel to over Jordan.

    32. -Deut. 31:7 – Moses called Joshua and handover and encouraged him and delivered as a law to the Levites baring the Ark of Covenant of the Lord.

    33. —Deut. 31:10 – Moses commanded the Law to be read every 7 years or year of release and feast of terbanacle.

    34. 34—Deut. 31:14 – The Lord appeared to Moses on the Terbanacle – pillar of cloud for the handover.

    Song of Moses on handover to Joshua

    35. —Deut. 31:22 – Moses wrote the song for handover to Joshua and gave to the Levites which bare the Ark of Covenant as a command.

    36. —Deut. 32:1 – The song of Moses to prevent revolution after his death.

    37. —Deut. 32:30 – One can only chase 1,000 and two to put 10,000 to flee except God be with him as his Rock.

    Moses died on mount Nebo

    38. —Deut. 32:49 – The Lord told Moses to go to mount Abarim. – Mount Nebo to die in the Land of Moab after beholding Canaan from on top of mount… He will see the Land but will not go because of his trespass at water of Meribah- Kadesh.

    Moses blesses the Tribes.

    39. —Deut. 33:6 – 29 – Moses gave blessings to all the tribe of Israel.

    Moses sepulcher not identified

    40. -Deut. 34:6 – He was buried in a valley in the Land of Moab over against Beth-peor at the age of 120 years, but his eyes were not dimed – there was no other prophet like Moses whom the Lord knew face to face.

    JOSHUA—(READ AND STUDY CHAPS.1—24)

    Joshua addresses Israel with Reubennite, Gadites + Half Manasseh

    1. Joshua 1:14 – He instructed them to join their brethren to fight to occupy the remaining Canaan before going back East of Jordan to their wives and little ones. They all answered yes to support Joshua.

    Rahab helps the spies from Joshua

    2. Joshua 2:18 – The 2 spies sent by Joshua told Rahab to bind line of scarlet thread used to let them down from hiding in the roof as an Oath to spare her family from destruction.

    3. Judges 3:9 – 1st judge raised Othniel from Caleb (Judah) family,he reigned for 40 years.

    4. Judges 3:5 – 2nd judge – Ehud a Benjamite (he was left handed)

    5. Judges 4:4 – 3rd Judge – Deborah (Prophetess) wife of Lapidoth

    6. Judges 4:6 – Deborah called Barak (from Naphtali family) who fought with children of Naphtali + Zebulum.

    7. Judges 4:17 – Sisera was defeated with Jabin Army by Barak and he fled on feet to Jael’s wife of Heber (from Moses father in-law).

    8. Judges 4:21 – Jael hammered nail unto Sisera’s head after given him milk to drink and handed him over to Barak – so Jabin king of Canaan was subdued by Israel.

    9. Judges 6:11 – An appeared unto Gideon the 4th Judge to deliver Israel from the Midianites. Gideon is from Manasseh.

    10. Judges 6:27 – Gideon made offering to the Lord, cast down altar of Baal, and bult an altar to the Lord instead.

    11. Judges 6:31 – Joash Gideon’s father called Gideon JERUBAAB if Baal is god let him defend himself against Gideon’s action.

    12. Judges 6:29-40 – Gideon receive positive sign from God on his battle with the Mediani which fleece dry:wet.

    15. Judges 9:5 Abimelech killed 69 of the 70 children of Gideon except Joshan the youngest who hid himself.

    16. Judges 9:22 – After reigning over Israel for 3 years, God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and them.

    17. Judges 9:53 – A certain woman broke Abimelech skull with s tone and he asked one of his servants to help kill him.

    18. Judges 10:1 – Tola (from Ishachar) became 6th Judge.

    Tola from tribe of Issachar ruled Israel for 23 years and died and was buried in mount Ephraim.

    19. Judges 10:3 – Jair was appointed 7th Judge and ruled 22 years from land of Gilead.

    Jephthah appointe 8th Judge

    20. Judges 11:1 – Jephthah – a Gileadite was the son of a harlot – but was a mighty man of valour

    21. Judges 11:31 Jephthah vowed to God if Ammon is delivered to him whatever comes first to meet him upon return he will offer as burnt offering to God.

    22. Judges 11:34 – Jephthah only child (daughter) came dancing to meet him.

    23. Judges 11:40 – Israel daughters laments for 4 days every year for Jephthan’s daughter.

    24. Judges 12:6 – Jephthah (and men of Gilead) fought Ephraimites.

    • Any Ephraimite who could not pronounce shibboleth and said sibboleth was killed – 42,000 killed

    25. Judges 12:7 – Jephthah died after ruling for 6 years.

    26. Judges12:8 – Ibzan of Bethlehem became 9th Judge.

    Ibzan ruled Israel for 7 years and was buried in Bethlehem.

    27. Judges 12:11 – Elon from family Zebulum became the 10th Judge for 10 years.

    -Abdon a Pirathonite was made 11th Judge he died and was buried in the mount of Amalekite.

    Birth of Samson

    28. Judges 13:5 – The woman,from family of Dan, had a son as foretold by an Angel who will be a Nazerite unto God and deliver Israel from the Philistines – no razor shall come on his head.

    29. Judges 14 – The woman bore a son and call his name Samson

    30. Judges 14:2 Samson made a request to parents to marry from Philistine (Timnale) not from the tribe of Israel.

    31. Judges 14:6 – The Spirit of the Lord came upon Samson and he tore a lion with no weapon in his hand.

    32. Judges 15:15 – Samson slew 1010 Philistines with Ass Jawbone

    33. Judges 15:20 – Samson the 11th Judge of Israel drank water from Ass Jawbone and he ruled Israel for 20 years.

    34. Judges16:4 – Samson meets Philistine Delilah

    35. Judges 16:5 – The Lords of Philistine meet Delilah to find where strength of Samson is for 1100 pieces of silver each Lord.

    36. Judges 16:17 - Samson revealed to Delilah the root of his strength - There hath not a razor come upon mine head for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother’s womb.

    37. Judges 16:28 – Samson prayed unto God for revenge of his 2 eyes.

    Story of the Levite and his concubine at Gideon of Benjamite

    38. Judges 19:1 – She was whole during their journey and died. The Levite then cut her unto 12 pieces for each house Israel.

    39. Judges 20:14 –Battle between children of Benjamite and other Israel.

    40. Judges 20:22 – 26,000 Benjamites against 40,000 children of Israel.

    41. Judges 20:19 – After 12 days, 22,000 Israel were killed, 2nd day 18,000 Israelite were killed.

    42. Judges 20:48 – The children of Israel later overpowered and killed all the Benjamin Gilead.

    43. Judges 21:1 – No Israelite to be given to Benjamites to wife.

    44. Judges 21:24 – Children Israel later repented and made arrangement for wives for the Benjamites so as not to cut off love of their brothers.

    RUTH—(READ AND STUDY CHAPS.1-4)

    1. Ruth 1:1 – Ruth’s father-in -law is from Bethlehem- Judah tribe his name was Elimelech. He went to live in Moab due to famine in his land. His wife’s name was Naomi. Elimelech with his wife Naomi had 2 sons – Mahlon + Chilon.

    2. Ruth 1:5 – The name of their 2 wives were Ruth and Orpan and lived in Moab for 10 years and both died.

    3. Ruth 1:20 - Ruth refused to leave Naomi and returned with her to Bethlehem – Judah.

    4. Ruth 2:1 – Naomi permitted Ruth to go and price corn in field Held by Boaz a Rich man who is Elimelech’s relation.

    5. Ruth 3:13 – Boaz married Ruth

    6. Ruth 4:17 – Ruth and Boaz had a son named Obed who is the father of Jesse, the father of David (of Judah tribe).

    1 SAMUEL(READ AND STUDY CHAPS.1—31)

    1.1 Sam. 1:1 – Elkanah from tribe of Ephraim had 2 wives Hannah and Peninnah. But Hannah was barren.

    1. 1 Sam. 1:20 – Eli prayed for Hannah and she conceived and had a son called Samuel.

    2. 1 Sam. 1:28 – Hannah lent Samuel to the Lord to live with Eli.

    3. 1 Sam. 2:21 – Hannah conceived again and had 3 sons and 2 daughters.

    4. 1 Sam. 2:34 – The 2 sons of Eli: Hophni and Phinehas both died in one day because of their sins to the Lord.

    5. 1 Sam. 3:5 – The Lord calls Samuel

    6. 1 Sam. 4:11 – The Lord said the iniquity of Eli’s sons shall not be purged with sacrifice or offering for ever.

    7. 1 Sam. 4:12 – The Philistines took the Ark of covenant from Shiloh and the 2 sons of Eli both killed on same day.

    8. 1 Sam. 4:18 – Eli fell from the chair when he heard of the death of his 2 sons and broke his neck and died at 98 years old. Eli the 12th Judge ruled for 40 years.

    9. 1 Sam. 5:4 – The Arkof (Covenant) God made Dagon (god of Philistines) to fall and broke to piece when put in same place together.

    10. 1 Sam. 6:15 – The Philistines returned the Ark of God to the Levites

    11. 1 Sam. 8:15 – Samuel the 13th Judge ruled Israel till he was old and passed the ruler-ship to his 2 son Joel and Abiah.

    12. 1 Sam. 8:22 – Israel demanded for a king from Samuel

    Samuel prayed and God told him to hearken unto the voice of the people.

    13. 1 Sam. 10:1 – Samuel anointed Saul a Benjamite as King over Israel

    14. 1 Sam. 10:5 – The Spirit of the Lord came upon Saul and he began to prophesy like one of the prophets.

    15. 1 Sam. 10:24 – Saul accepted as 1st King of Israel

    16. 1 Sam. 11:8 -15 – Saul gathered 300,000 of Isrealites + 30,000 Judah to wage war against the Ammorites and defeated them and he was corronated.

    17. 1 Sam. 13:3 – Saul choose Jonathan his son to fight the Philistines.

    18. 1 Sam. 14:39 – Jonathan breaks Saul’s oath on fighting and Saul sentenced him to death but the Israelites rescued him.

    19. 1 Sam. 14:49 – Saul had 2 sons Jonathan and Ishui and 2 daughters.

    20. 1 Sam. 15:9 – Saul disobeyed the Lord on totally destroying the Amalekites.

    21. 1 Sam. 15:21 – Samuel told Soul that Obedience is better than sacrifice.

    22. 1 Sam. 15:35 – Saul was rejected as King because of his disobedience

    23. 1 Sam. 16:1 – The Lord told Samuel to choose and anoint David son of Jesse the Bethlehemite of Judah, the youngest of Jesse’s 8 sons.

    24. 1 Sam. 16:15 – So Samuel anointed David and the spirit of the Lord came upon David and departed from Saul whilst the evil spirit took over unto Saul, and Saul choose David to play harp music regularly for him and whn he did, the evil spirit depart from Saul so that he could sleep.

    25. 1 Sam. 17:32 – David told Saul that he would fight the Goliath, Saul permitted him and David Killed Goliath.

    26. 1 Sam. 18:7 – The women sang and danced on the street that Saul had slained his 1,000 and David his 10,000. So Saul was angry and he planned to kill David

    27. 1 Sam. 18:20 – Saul gave Michal his daughter to David to marry

    28. 1 Sam. 19:1 – Saul spoke to Jonathan to kill David but Jonathan told him of his father’s plt.

    29. 1 Sam. 19:13 – Saul again Planned to kill David through his wife Michal his daughter but David escaped and reported to Samuel.

    30. 1 Sam. 20:16 – David made covenant with Jonathan for his security and helped David to escape from Saul’s plans to kill him the covenant is between David and Jonathan’s seeds for ever.

    31. 1 Sam. 21:1 – David meets Abimelech the priest.

    32. 1 Sam. 22:17 – Saul ordered killings of Abimelech the priest.

    33. 1 Sam. 24:4 – David had opportunity to kill Saul but cuts off Saul’s skirt whilest he was asleep in the cave.

    34. 1 Sam. 24:21 – Saul made David to sware not to cut off his seed when he becomes King of Israel.

    35. 1 Sam. 25:1 – Samuel died and was buried in is home at Ramah

    36. 1 Sam. 25:3 – Nabal (whose wife was Abigail) from tribe of Caleb – Judah. David sent his servants to Nabal for corns but Nabal refused.

    37. 1 Sam. 25:19 – Abigail prepared gifts to give to David without knowledge of Nabal. David accepted the gift and forgave Nabal.

    38. 1 Sam. 25:38 – 10 days after Nabal died suddenly and David sent for Abigail to marry her.

    39. 1 Sam. 26:12 – David took the spear and cruise of water from Saul whilst asleep and spared his life 2nd time.

    40. 1 Sam. 26:6 – David and his men fled to Ziklag and dwell for 1 year 4 months among the Philistines to escape from Saul.

    41. 1 Sam.28:8- Saul disguised himself and went to Endor woman with familiar spirit to seek for Samuel spirit to know what will happen to him with his next battle with the Philistine.

    42. 1 Sam. 29:18 – David defeated the Amalekites and recovered his 2 wives – Anninoam and Abigail.

    43. 1 Sam. 31:6 – Saul and his 3 sons including Jonathan were killed in battle with the Philistines.

    2 SAMUEL READ AND STUDY ALL VERSES(2SAM1:1—24:25)

    1. 2 Sam. 1:14 – David ordered for the killing of Amalikite who lied to have killed Saul for his killing the God’s anointed

    2. 2 Sam. 2:1 – The Lord told David to move to Hebron and he was anointed king over the house of Judah.

    3. 2 Sam. 2:9 – Ishbosheth Saul’s son was made king over the remaining part of Israel apart from Judah at the age of 40 years.

    4. 2 Sam. 3:2 – David had 6 sons born in Hebron: (Maacah) Absalom, Ithersan, Eglah, (Ahinaam) Ammon,Haggith, Adonija. (Abigail) Chileab, Abitail, Shefannaj

    5. 2 Sam. 3:6 – War between Saul and David turned to between house of David (Judah) and rest of Israel by Abner captain of Saul’s Army.
