Conceptual Framework

Online reservation is a web based system and a popular method for booking hotel rooms
that specialize in delivering internet-enable reservation solutions to accommodation sector in the
travel industry due to its efficiency and accuracy. It helps the customers anywhere in the world to
make bookings through online where travellers can book rooms on a computer by using online
security to protect their privacy and financial information and by using several online travel
agents to compare prices and facilities at different hotels. Nowadays, online reservations is the
most convenient and useful tool for making reservation rather than manual telephone reservation.
The computerized and online reservation system aims to have more convenient and
hassle free service to its customers. believe that offering an efficient reservation system is an
important part of establishing an image as a service oriented hotel and resort industry it will
establish good customer relations. This kind of system will help the travellers and customers in
providing quick and accurate response and confirmation to the customers.
Promotions and discounts, up selling additional services, booking security, easy and fast
booking process are the factors that will help increase of bookings using the online reservations
system. As a result, it will gain a customers satisfaction and easy for the company to operate the
daily allotments because of its back office control features.

The Paradigm

Online reservation system will help the company to increase its sales and bookings also
for the possible customers, as this system will also serve as a promotion for them because of its
easy access in the web.

Figure 1.2 shows the summary of the research, knowing the feedback of customer
satisfaction from the respondents, the problems they encounter and the effectiveness of it are
input of the research. The researcher will conduct a survey where shell let the respondents
answer the questionnaires. She will observe and give analytical analysis of the result. The result
will identify the level of effectiveness using the online reservation system.

The main problem of this study is the inaccurate reservation of
thecustomer.Specific problem:
1. Low in security2. Time monitoring3. Less data integrity4. Difficulty in searching and
retrieving files5. Possible loss of records and retrieving files6. Difficulty in finding the
availability of rooms
