Importance of Education

Education, is it really important? Yes. Education is really important
to us. It is the knowledge of putting one's potentials to maximum
use. We consider education as a very precious tool in life. It cannot
be measured by money, fame and other things for we consider this
as a key to success that disregards the stature in life and financial
capabilities as long as theres the desire to achieve the goals we
envision in life. One can safely say that a human being is not in the
proper sense till he is educated. Without education people
wouldnt have their high developed skills and talents that would
help them become successful both in our careers, family in making
right decisions in life and to become aware of our environment.
Education is the only treasure that one keeps and that which
nobody can take away us from. Every student can enjoy education
if only we, as students, know how to balance our activities that
would make it more interesting. Education plays a very important
role to us, students. It is one of the most important keys to open
the door of success and serves as a milestone to our way going to
the top of our dreams. Education may be viewed as a process, a
product or both. It is a lifelong process that includes both formal
instruction and a broad range of experiences. It is the result of the
societys need to prepare its young minds for a future role. It is
the natural process of growth. For some students, especially to
young adults or teenagers, education is just a game. For them, it is
just simply going to school sitting on their own chairs, taking down
notes, listening to their teachers, answering the books and taking
the exams. With the attitude bahala na, students enjoy school
life as light as a feather. Some dont mind anymore of the
consequence it will bring or what the results would be of the lax
behavior they have whenever there are examination to be taken.
Some others feel bored. They do not listen and just do what they
want.
Look around us. Almost all of the things that we see are the effects
of education. How could engineers plan to build such huge
buildings carefully without learning all of those in school. How
many of our jobseekers today are rejected of having jobs because
of the lack of educational attainment although they have work
experiences? Really, the future of our country lies in its
educational system. There should be a guiding force that will push
us to do good and realize that education is very important. So,
how do we give importance to education? Study hard. Grab the
opportunity to have better of it and view it as a gift. We must not
ignore our parents efforts by wasting the hard-earned money they
give us and pay for our fees in school, thus, ending up a mess
without appreciating how lucky we are to have been enrolled in a
private school of our parents choice. We should be thankful
enough because we experience going to school compared to others
who dont have anything in life. Lets change for the better and live
our lives to the fullest. Let us all remember that only through the

attainment of education, man is enabled to receive information
from the external world; to acquaint himself with past history and
receive all necessary information regarding the present. Without
education, man is as though in a closed room and with education
he finds himself in a room with all its windows open towards
outside world.

Importance of Education

Providing free and quality education to children reflects the fact that every child is entitled to
fundamental human rights and is to be treated with dignity. Where children are exposed to
poverty, violence, abuse, or exploitation, those rights demand our urgent protection.
Primary education supports children at a critical time in their physical, emotional, social and
intellectual growth. More broadly, education is akey tool for development, and an
invaluable means of addressing structural inequality and disadvantage.
Primary education provides children with life skills that will enable them to prosper later in
life. It equips children with the skills to maintain a healthy and productive existence, to
grow into resourceful and socially active adults, and to make cultural and political
contributions to their communities. Education also transmits more abstract qualities such
as critical thinking skills, healthy living, resilience, and self-confidence.
An educated adult population is vital for strong economic development. It also lays the
foundations for greater overall economic productivity, and the full use of new technologies
for development. A system of compulsory schooling helps fight child labour.
Educated and literate adults are more likely to be informed about sexual risks and better
able to protect themselves from HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.
A lack of gender parity and equality in education is often a critical factor in
underdevelopment. The education of women is a powerful means of sustaining improved
health and education in the long term. Figures suggest that children of educated mothers
are significantly more likely to be enrolled in school. The education of women also reduces
fertility rates and improves the health of women, infants and children.
In addition, the education of women may also address entrenched cultural views about
traditional female roles as they are empowered and equipped with skills which enable them
to make a full contribution to their communities.
