EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This study was conducted in TMM Hospital, Thiruvalla for a period of one
month to closely watch and learn the functioning of the organization and how
the different departments in the organization functions as a network. This
report provides an analytical strategy review of the healthcare industry. This
study covers the evolution, development and competitive environment within
which hospital operates and the strategic issues faced by them.
This report also offers an overview of the industry, its organizational structure,
business environment analysis and organizational analysis. Hospitals provide
quality services to the people who are ill.
Such a study at an organization also involved the understanding of the
application of the different theories learned as part of the syllabus. This study
helped to understand the working of an organization as a whole and how each
department work systematically. The study also helped to understand many
systematic procedures in the organization and also helped to understand how
sophisticated the whole system is and how well it is functioning. It also helped
to understand the recent happening in the industry and the latest technologies
adopted and used in the organization.
