I ll jus tell them We r BIMites. Alumni support is alwayz a greatest thing needed
either in college promotion or to increase BrandValue of college. I ll tell them we
cant payback to our college but can help a little in what we can do by our
support in social media...:)

The first comm which I know . loved the way u all helped us pre-joining wanna

PRCOM involves carrying BIM's image.
When BIM doesn't spend on advertising, keeping is identity based on service and
ethics is important and needs people who would be brand ambassadors of BIM,
keeping what is important and what is to be left out.
All other committees, function inside the college,while PRCOM is carrying BIM's
label to the outside world. This is the most challenging, responsible and important
part of any BIM's committee.

By keeping up the communication with them from our end, inviting them to the
various alumni meets and events that happen in BIM, which will not only help
them relive their high days and be nostalgic but also make sure they keep coming
to BIM which will help all of BIM in the long run as it will bring us more placement
and more brand value.
Why do you want to join PRCOM?
Honestly, I have never done anything of this sort in MY ENTIRE LIFE. Maximum I
have come to doing PR was hosting the sports day at my school in 12th. I want to
join PRCOM to experience it, to learn, because at the end of the day that's what I
have come to BIM for, to learn and to experience. But that in no way means i will
chicken out when I face the music. Whatever I start, I face and I complete.

The First thing I would market about BIM is its placement results.The best thing
would be to compile an audited final placement report. BIM 's placement
reports as far as I have heard from PR is pretty good and similar to the level of the
newer IIM's ( U and K).
The second thing that requires marketing is the top positions in organizations that
are occupied by BIM alumni.A document with alumni names and their positions in
large organizations would attract BIM 31 prospective students.

I do not have a clear cut answer for this query,but in my opinion alumni
interaction would increase if queries were posed to them by current BIM students
which would prompt them to answer it.This would at least make the page
interactive than being just an idle page.
Why do you want to join PRCOM?
3 reasons:
1.It did an awesome job in attracting BIM 30 students to choose BIM.I would also
want to be a part of the "Voice of BIM ".
2.Public relations is one of the areas that most people lag in.I would like to hone
and sharpen my skills in PR by joining PRCOM.
3.The obvious reason,it would look glamorous in the Resume!!

Most of the aspirants do not prefer to join BIM because of its location and brand
value.They are concerned about the exposure they could get since trichy is not a
big industrial city and most of the people, even aspirants, do not know BIM as a
good B-school, but in reality, it is very good. We should try and market about the
corporate lectures we attend and people from industry visiting BIM. Also, we
should make sure that BIM is in news more often through PRCOM and alumni
network.

After all, BIM would be one of the main reasons for the positions they are holding
today. We could request them by saying their participation is very much
important to help out their fellow juniors and for BIM to attain greater heights. It
should also be made sure from our side that we indulge in meaningful discussions
to keep them interested. I am sure if we keep them interested through our
discussions, they would love to be active.
Why do you want to join PRCOM?
The primary reason would be networking. The main advantage of doing an MBA
in a good school is the kind of network it offers to students and I do not want to
miss out on this opportunity. The other reason would be to strengthen my soft
skills.

Bim already has a very good brand value in Tamil Nadu.It is mainly on the other
states that we must focus upon. A kind of buzz can be created by collaborating an
event with the bschools in other states and by conducting the event in a different
state we cud spread our coll name there by using the media coverage.we cud
highlight upon the strength of bim,the kind of packages offered and also the fact
that the fee is much lesser than most of the other bschools.

its very important to maintain good relationsips with the alumni.it can be done by
constantly keeping in touch with them, meeting them when they r in town, calling
them up on their birthdays and constantly updating with them about their job
profile.once a good rapport gets created between the present batch and alumni,i
believe they wud automatically answer our replies in fb/linkedin.
Why do you want to join PRCOM?
I have always wanted to be in the mix of things, as a face of the show.this is
something that comes naturally to me.I like to write up articles and do speeches.I
believe PR is the best way to do that.It gets me closest to the real world as PR
involves a lot of direct interactions with alumni, officials, media etc.

1. Faculty at BIM is very good.
2. At the end of the day, placements matter, and unlike many tire 2 colleges, BIM
does not fudges its placement report. Even in the current economy, BIM fared
much better than many other so called "Tire 1" colleges. Big Plus.

I would urge them to pay heed to their alma mater, and that they should be ready
to help BIM as much as they can.

As I got a lot of help from PRCOM during my admissions process, and as I kept
bugging the members on pagalguy as well as facebook, I saw what was happening
in real time, and I know how the process goes, so I would like to be part of the
process next year too, but, on the other side of the table, as a senior!

take initiative to spread our brand across these institutes..
